Is there a way to have subtitles playing over the video when you crop the video? Whenever I crop the video the subtitles get hidden.

Don't use VLC, it's awful. Try Zoom player.

Quick question about ZP. I try to use it whenever I can, but when I have dual audio stuff, I can't seem to switch subtitles on/off or audio tracks from English to Japanese. Is there an option for this and I'm blind, or is VLC a better option in this case?

just use media player classic unless you have a mac, in which case use VLC for .mkv files and perian plugin with quicktime for everything else

I agree with the mac comment. I do use VLC almost exclusively on my 10.3 machine though

but one thing about VLC that i hate is that the tracking is terrible.. you can't seek to the exact spot you want and the bar always skips and around when i try to do it.. oh well

No idea, I've never been able to get it to do it. It doesn't take screenshots either, I wouldn't use it but it looks the best. -_-;

Right click and mouse over Stream Selection and you should have 3 columns, those being... Zoom Player Audio Filter, Directvobsub and lastly Source File.

Source File is what you want, to change audio select whatever you prefer from

A blahblahblah English
A blahblahblah Japanese

Subtitles section is right below that with the following options, select whatever

S: Songs and Signs English
S: Dialogue English
No Subtitles

I love you so much right now. *plots to delete VLC forever soon*

I hate VLC. I only use it for screencaps these days, s'all it's good for. Thanks again, d00d.
