I can't say I'm a fan of metal, but I love all kinds of rock. I assume, since you grouped it with metal, you mean hard rock.

I listen to hard rock, alternative rock, progressive rock, radio rock, classic rock, brit pop rock, british invasion rock, Jrock, indie rock and many other types of rock.

There are very few metal bands I can tolerate. VERY few. Included on this list are Black Sabbath (not even really metal...), Dir en Grey, X Japan, and Pantera.

Yeah I'm a metalhead for sure. I generally prefer a more melodic, European sound but not always. I like classic metal (that includes my favourite, Sabbath), doom, goth, black, symphonic, power and folk metal. Some of my favourite bands in no particular order are:
