This video is proof and its suppose to be the final battle between Inuyasha and Naraku. Inuyasha has to finally choose between Kikyo and Kagome! Its suppose to come out in 2009, Ive also got a quote from a guy who posted about this on yahoo answers he says:
ok, i have no clue why everyone is saying there is no movie five? THERE IS!!!!!!! it is called the final confrontation. it has come out recently in japan and it will be a while before it comes out on dvd and then someone subs it and puts it up on youtube or another site like that.
so i was just wondering about your guys thoughts about this?

I did. :P I thought it would never end, but I'm glad this series will get at least some kind of ending. Hopefully it will be good.

Here's the YouTube page where the "creator" of this clip explains that it is fanmade, and not a real trailer...

ok...it is probably true that InuYasha have a 5th Movie...but the link above is not the one for the 5th movie because I've seen that video a long long time ago (before the 3rd movie even came out) and the way it was made clearly proves that its not the official trailer. I'll try and see if i can find anymore info on the movie on Chinese and Japanese site...if there is a movie 5 then i should find the official trailer soon...

I'm pretty sure most of the clips used in that video are clips from some InuYasha game for PS1. I remember seeing some of them a few years ago back when I used to use Kazaa. My thoughts, more InuYasha anime is about as much failure as the character Shinn Asuka himself.

There is no fifth movie, if there was it would have come out sooner.

Yes it definitely would have came out a few years ago, at least while the TV series was still airing. I don't think Sunrise would bother to animate an animated movie based off a anime TV series that its creators decided wasn't worth continuing to produce. The popularity of InuYasha in Japan besides the manga is all but dead I'm sure. I think I can honestly live without seeing the rest of the InuYasha franchise animated as well. The anime itself had just dragged on so much and was full of way too many episodes that were completely filler and bad and I just totally lost interest in the manga because it just dragged on for too long and nothing exciting was really ever happening.

Other than the link I posted above, here's a very informative thread that discusses it at length and soundly disproves the rumor...

Exactly my point. Besides if anyone wants more InuYasha goodness... go read the manga!

From I seen the animation, thats looks like it's pre-episode 60, I knew it was a fake.

It's probably a hoax. There is no love triangle anymore and they're finally approaching the climax in the manga-for real, this time. There has been no talk about Inuyasha anime for almost 2 years and those were about continuing the TV series at a later date. Although, now that the story is finishing they might make some more anime to close things up.

The video is fake. The movie title they flash in the end says "Toki wo koeru omoi" which was one of the earlier movies right?

Way to take all of the fun out of it for me.

You're absolutely right. Yeah, I believe it was the first one.
Frankly, if there was anything remotely close to any new animation production on Inu Yasha, then I'm sure the Japanese and English-language news wires would find out about it first, rather then YouTube links having to be posted.

You know that this will PERMANATELY end the Inuyasha series and probably end the making of its games. I don't know how much longer I can wait when they left us hanging on the last episode.

Uh...
1) Any speculation of a 5th InuYasha movie is fake.
2) The manga already ended in Japan like a week ago. The series has already ended and if you can't wait any longer, go read the manga scanilations.

There is not going to be a 5th movie! I got a review out of Beckett Anime and Manga that says the 4th one is the final one!

Well, I gotta admit. That anime-ending for InuYasha blows BIGTIME! It was WAY too open-ended. Now, they aren't even going to bother to either make a 5th movie with the so called "final" battle with InuYasha and Naraku or to make a final Anime episode. This sucks. I am definitely going to read the manga to see how it all ended. Hell with waiting on anyone to make a final episode or a movie. :P

Well, don't feel bad. I too gotta get caught up in the manga! lol Anyhow, they need to stop making so many open-ended animes and then never do anything with them again. It just leaves the fans hanging. Thank God for Manga! :P

you know i kinda felt like going to japan myself and making them do more eps or movies inuyasha was my fav animation series :(
i own all four movies ill be going for the series soon lol.
i defenatly didn't like the way they ended it myself i had this thing with kikyou and kagome,
when naraku was finally defeated kikyou would give kagome the rest of her soul back and lay at rest knowing naraku was gone.:)

Its about Damn time! Sheesh... the anime had a very terrribble open-ending. I knew it ended that way for a reason. I wonder who InuYasha is going to choose. The dead, then ressurrected, then dead again, then resurrected, (Similar to Goku in DBZ) Kikyo or Kagome, the reincarnated Kikyo? I thought Kikyo had finally been killed for good in the manga? WTF? DIe already! lol Although I find Kagome annoying and whiny. So maybe its best if Kagome dies and Kikyo lives! lol
