I don't understand what the big hype about it is. It's pretty cool, the kid sings well, but why the hell is it the new internet "thing"?

Because the internet is like the rich uncle who touches you, but pays your way through college.
I don't know, I heard it somewhere and lol'd.
It is pretty cool that he wrote it and his voice is cool

It got posted on 4chan
I think he sings fairly well. I think it was because he has such a deep voice for a small guy.

He is both tone deaf and has a voice like Kermit the Frog and Barry White's love child. The internet "thing" is the fact that no talent people get exposure not because they are any good but because they are laughably horrible, like Wing.

Did anyone see the CNN Newsroom interview of this kid? I think it was a couple Sunday's ago. The host kept making him do Chocolate Rain. I lol'd. And apparently that's his real voice...
Sucks that it didn't come until THE END OF THE HOUR, though. I FREAKIN WAITED.

I seriously believe that everything on the internet comes from 4chan nowadays.

I watched G4 around Comic-Con time a while ago, because I didn't have anything to do (no, seriously; I was out of country), and they brought him on for Attack of the Show. It was actually remarkably hilarious to hear him speaking normally.

I've never listened, so I have NO IDEA who this kid is, or what this song is. I plan to keep it that way. ^_^

YOU HAS TO.
It is amazing. It's the feeling you get when you divide by zero. You feel silly.

I've never seen this kid, but I get the idea he sounds like Froggo, from the old Hysteria show.

It's just the Internet thing to see at the moment. Tommorrow, they'll be something else that people will be talking about.
The song itself is kind of stupid; I find it hilarious though that the video itself actually states when he moves away from the mic.

Gee, welcome to two months ago.
Seriously, the entire point is that he's a bizarrely bad singer with a femenine/Michael Jackson-ish face and unexpectedly deep voice, not to mention a writer of terrible lyrics.

lol, he's 25... Not really a kid. But yeah, if you pay attention to the lyrics, they make sense. Honestly though, it kinda ticks me off. He isn't living in a racist world, at least not now.
