For my novel. So that when it's published I can already have an official website for it.
I want to have links to all the characters, the plots, the places in the book...stuff like that.
I don't have money so I want a free one. What's a good place where I can get a free website that doesn't look like complete crap.

You can do anything you could if you used a web provider, other than have your own .com address. Which, you can upgrade to but as you can image there's a price for that.

Well I can't wait until I'm 18. Because it'll probably be finished by the time I'm 15 and I'll work vigorously to have it published.

Well, no. I'm not allowed to buy stuff on the internet until I either:
A) Get a job
B) Am eighteen

Lol. You're fourteen and you want a website for your novel? My advice, get the novel published before you publish the site. If there's enough interest, a publisher might even just pay for a small bit of web hosting and take care of it for you that way (though more than likely you'll instead just end up on a list of novels they publish, which is still better than one of those crappy 50MB limit sites).
On the note of publishing it, it's been done before, but you'll be lucky to get it published before you're seventeen years old. It might also be prudent to get some of the writers willing to R&R here to, well, R&R what you have so far (since you said it's incomplete).

I'm on chapter...like...5. Of 20. 8 pages each/chapter. It's not getting done for a while...

go to this website: www.oswd.org and download one of their free Open Source Web Designs. They're up to standards with HTML and CSS rules and are easy to edit using notepad.

You know, these stupid live journal/my space threads are starting to remind me of another poster who was banned multiple times.

I didn't know that I was being myspacey/livejournally.
I thought that I had a legit question this time.
The person you're talking about never had a myspace or livejournal.

I would seriously question the authors creditability if the official website is leeched off of a free web provider.

Thirdo... or something.
Spending time on a promotional website is putting the cart before the horse, Shakespeare. I think it's best to finish the novel before you plan how to spend those royalty checks.

You could always make a fake website, though. Not only does that have the potential for hilarity, but you get to learn about the basics of making a website. I always find it fun to learn new things, so if you do too, then you can try that.
