Do you know anyone who does things like dress up there pets (a scarf is cute but dog's don't like shoes or hats peaple), bring them to "pet yoga" (im not jokeing about this, theres seriously is such a thing), spend thousands of dollars on pet perfume, hair cuts, and the like?

Don't get me wrong im not one of those peaple who see's pets as just property. I take care of my cats (i know its mostly dogs peaple do these weird things for but some do it for cats to) but i do it with "practical" things, cats are simple creatures who like haveing a nice place to sleep, tasty food, and freedom to do activity's outside. I give them these things and scratching post's, balls on strings, and various stuff they enjoy and will gladly pay for there medical bills. My cats do not care if i buy them a redicoulously expensive cotton scarf or send them to some stupid yoga class when they would much rather just sleep on the bed or play. so what are thoughts on peaple who think there dogs like Yoga and expensive perfume?

Shouldn't there be laws against that kind of thing? For a pet it sounds like torture. But I have trouble keeping a cactus alive, so I'm not really one to judge how much effort people put into their pets.

People who do stupid things to their pets.

/Grammer :(

As for my opinion on the topic, I love animals and anyone who would do harm to them are despicable and deserve to be, I don't know, raped by 100 animals of the species they harmed.

EDIT: ...And then I read your post and find your not even talking about abuse...*smacks self in head*.

For what you're talking about, I'd have to say it doesn't really matter, but I'm sure the animals don't like it.

I get my pets christmas presents...I don't have a problem! :(

Speaks for itself.

I've heard of people dyeing their poodles with kool-aid, and I want to try this with my cat. Trouble is, I Googled and couldn't find anything specifically for cats, and the stuff pertaining to poodles was inconsistent.

Who here knows a fantastic way to dye a cat with kool-aid? I don't suppose submerging one in a tub of the stuff is a realistic option, hah. (http://community.livejournal.com/thequestionclub/25304667.html)

...man. WHY WASTE KOOL-AID on some stupid cat?

Speaks for itself.

Omg..... just wow someone would want to do that to a poor cat? and since cats clean themselves so much it would have to be re-applied weekly.

Oh dear God. Save me from the kind of morons who would dye a cat's fur. I mean, I'm not concerned about the fact that she's dying it with Kool-Aid, but more about the fact that she wants to dye its fur at all? What the hell is wrong with the natural colors that cats come in? There isn't a wide enough range? She couldn't pick just one, and wants her cat to match her outfit?

Yeah, some people think their pets are great but would be far far greater if they weren't the animal they were born as, but some kind of quasi-human freakshow.

You know with these kind of people that the pet is only one indication of the rest of how they interact with things in the world... other living things, and the way they deck out their houses etc...

Stop thinking about it. Watch a calming video.

That's amazing, thank you.

Just one question: Why does that Asian woman have a French accent?

um... she doesn't?

And anyway. Just because a person looks to be from one ethnic origin, doesn't mean they can't have been born and raised somewhere else.

If you want to go out and yell something similar in England like "hey, how come those Pakistani guys have Birmingham accents??" I'm not going to have any sympathy when I find you in hospital having been beaten up...

Or if you really want to die, try shouting "How come those pigs in the red & white football shirts have Geordie accents?" in the middle of Newcastle or Sunderland.

Though that's kind of unrelated, I can't miss an opportunity to mention how much I hate Sunderland.

OK good point. It just seemed a really unusual accent for someone who was being marketed as an Asian entertainer. I mean yeah, anyone can have any accent, but she was being put forward as an Asian person. That was her stage persona, as she had a really kind of traditional asian name. There's nothing wrong with it, it just was a really surprising accent for her to have, when I first heard words come out of her mouth. I don't think I've ever seen that particular accent/ethnicity combo before.

It wouldn't be surprising if she had a British accent. Anyone from anywhere in the world can have a British accent. They used to be our chief export.

I admit it was a bad way to put it. I should have just said I was surprised by her accent.

Hey, the Mackems only claw and bite you to show they love you. They're cute balls of fluff really. When they leave you gifts of dead mammals, it's only a gift to show you they love you.

...or is that only cute when kittens do it?

[thinks about the tragedy of the trouble colour-blind people who can't tell the difference between a Geordie and other north-east accents get into...]

I wouldn't let a Mackem get that close to you. Apparantly they kidnap women & children, then use their blood to dye their football shirts with the red stripes.

They'd be fine so long as they can tell the difference between Newcastle & Sunderland. Newcastle is a happy, friendly place, where everyone is pleasant to each other & has a good time together. Sunderland is like Mordor, a blackened desolate landscape, spewing soot into the sky, where the air itself is poison & the only living creatures there are degenerate orcs, & the burning eye of Peter Reid hangs in the sky.
