View Full Version : Michael "the ****" Vick

I'm sure many of you know about Micheal Vick and his atrocities that he's pleading guilty towards...what are your opinions?

I think he should be punished to full extent of the law and banned from the NFL plain and simple. There will really be no loss imo, he is a severely overated Quarterback who lacks basic fundimentals, and is more or less a poster child for underprivelaged youth "making it." I say this to back up my opinion, and to show that it's not just because of his actions off field that I dislike him. Albeit he is a good player, there is nothing "great" about him. And to pile on his personal involvment with such things including killings, rapings, and gambling with dogs, jsut makes me dislike him more.

The fact that he plead guilty I commend him for.

Anyway, opinions?

I would like to see if he whistleblows on fellow players as part of a plea deal.

I don't give a damn how fast he can run.
How far he can throw.
How many touchdowns he can make.

Killing or raping any living creature, whether a dog or a human, is unacceptable in my book.

I'm disapointed it got this far this fast. i wanted it to hit just as the regular season started for two reasons
1) it would ahve hurt more
2) a local radio station had a plan to get people to come and taunt him in various entertaining ways when the Falcons came for a preseason game.

I'm not sure I heard about the rapes, but I already have a low enough opinion of him

I think he should be punished to full extent of the law...
Agreed. I have no idea who we're talking about, but if he broke an existing law, he should be subject to the penalty for breaking that law.

...and banned from the NFL...
If what he did is against the terms of his contract, then he should be subject to the penalties outlined in that contract. If what he did is in violation of his membership in the NFL, then he should be subject to whatever penalties are outlined for the type of breach he committed.

If neither his contract nor the NFL guidelines specificallyprohibit what he did, and if neither one of them outlines any sort of penalty for his actions, then neither his team's management nor the NFL should get involved in any way. It's not their place to be the world's moral police. They're businesses, and they should behave accordingly.

The fact that he plead guilty I commend him for.
Then I'd doubt that he'd receive the fullest penalty outlined in the law. One does not normally receive the court's harshest sentence when one throws oneself upon the mercy of the court.

I laughed at this paragraph, he could kill dogs, you could rape them, but how the heck does he GAMBLE with them?

Yeah I chuckled myself realizing what I wrote, but let it stand due to lack of better wording atm.

For those that don't know, or don't know the full story, he's basically been running a Dog Fighting ring for 6 years, gambling on dog fights, personally executing dogs, and making rape racks, allowing female dogs to be raped by male dogs to make better fighters.

Does anyone know if Mike is neutered?? Because if he isn't, I can accomplish that with my rusted old garden shears...

and making rape racks, allowing female dogs to be raped by male dogs to make better fighters.

So that's what that means?

O_O

It makes me cry for the human race. We're so intelligent yet our minds are sick. It's disgusting.

More or less we're too arrogant for the living population. We're ignorant to understand morality, under our own intellect.

So it's like the male dog does the female dog then goes to the ring?

No, like they breed them...

For lack of a better referance...like with slaves, when slave owners bred the strong healthy slaves to make strong healthy slave babies...

Disciplining him would be acting like a business. They depend on business sponsorships, advertisements, and fan support (jersey sales, ticket sales, parking, etc.) Having a convicted dog fighter who will draw negative attention and risks sponsors and advertisers pulling out.

Yeah, I know.

Like I said, there aren't many references out there..luckily things like this aren't the norm.

I found it pretty hypocritical that the same PETA members that were on Vick's *** about animal cruelty didn't take in ONE of those dogs before they were all put to sleep.

That small number would of been better than nothing.

That could be right, but we're talking PETA here. Shouldn't they burn the constitution or something just so animals can get rights? I mean, that's how they operate isn't it?

As for PETA, what can one expect on a group noterious for controversy?

If by controversy you mean hippocritical illegal activity.

You can't adopt fighting dogs in most states it's illeagal

Which means the dog dies anyway. Personally, I'd rather go on killing other members of my species, but that's just me.
