Naruto attacks with 2 clones from behind and Itachi throws 2 kunais without turning and beats the clones. Itachi points his finger at Naruto and his already trapped in a genjutsu. Naruto charges when Itachi opens his cloak and crows/ravens emerge from it with one having a Sharingan. One drops a feather on Naruto and the birds combine to form Itachi again.

Scene changes to Jiraiya walking into Tsunade's office. She looks like he got bad news as they are drinking and Jiraiya is trying to cheer her up and scene of the 3rd is seen. Then we are back to Naruto and Itachi. He tells Naruto something before he leaves. Now a scene of Sasuke walking in a cave where there is a shadow in front of him. And it's Itachi, Sasuke activates his Sharingan and scene changes back to Tsunade getting mad at Jiraiya, again they are drinking and having another talk.

So much for that confrontation, Naruto! Good job wasting the opportunity to get some answers. It took up more than half the chapters and, in the end, nothing new came out of it. Jiraiya and Tsunade exchange was pretty straightforward as well.

Let's hope Sasuke's meeting doesn't end up the way Naruto's did.

straightforward? It foreshadowed Jiriaya's death. I loved the chat between those two. Ive been missing Jiraiya.

Now that i read the translated version i think Jiraiya will die. He might run into Pein. Naruto should have let Itachi talk but have to wait until next week. Im sure that Sasuke will just attack Itachi instead of hearing him out.

Man next chapter should be awesome. And I agree with the general consensus that Jiraiya's days are number unfortunately.

I would LOVE for Itachi to just pwn Sasuke with some genjutsu or Mangekyou to show that after all that Sasuke has done, hes still not even close to Itachi. It would be amazing.

I loved the chapter.. Though I'm pretty frightened, lol, the next chapter is called 'loss'. So it'll most probably be leading to someones death or simply flashbacks.

This chapter was most definetly a setup chapter for next week's pwnage. We should see either quite a bit or the start of the next set of fight sequences. Jiraiya's days most likely are numbered but I don't see him going down without a decently good fight and someone coming to back him up/watch him die.

I can't explain it bro, I just feel this is gonna hit us VERY soon. Now that there is yet another Uchiha present, and adding the fact that he's the real leader, then it's definitely possible.

Why is it when someone, who is over 30, does something dangerous that it means they're gonna die? Jiraiya is a sannin, not Asuma. He's going to investigate-not assasinate. Everyone's so quick to write people out when the character gets nostalgic. It didn't happen to Orochimaru why should it happen to Jiraiya? He's not expendable like Asuma was.

Has anyone of significance from the Leaf village died? The only one I'd say is the third Hokage. Asuma, Kurenai, Anko, Shizune, Yamato, Sai, Ten-Ten, Ino, Chogi. Kiba, Shino these are all disposable characters who could leave the scene and the main stories aren't affected at all and yet only one of them has died. Kishi is hesitant to kill off the good guys and the bad guys who keeps stories goiing like Orochimaru. It's almost as bad as Bleach. ^_^ However, Jiraiya won't be knocked off for one reason alone: the Kyuubi. All signs are suggesting that the Kyuubi and Naruto will come to a reckoning down the road. Whether the seals disintigrates or Naruto fuses with the Kyuubi the only one qualified to identify/modify it would be Jiraiya. I don't think this will happen til after Jiraiya infiltrates the Nation of Rain. So he at least that long to live.

No i knew Asuma got Kurenai pregnant before he got killed. I was talking about before he left Konoha, Asuma and his team were standing on a building looking into Kurenai's house and as soon as she looked up they left. Sorta forshadowed his death. Jiraiya paid a visit to Tsunade so maybe he too will be gone soon.

That's true, the only people we've known to die from the village are Asuma, The third and a couple of random nin. How's this fight between Sasuke and his brother going to pan out? Most likely in a draw this close to the last fight. They could be instantly going into another fight to keep up with the blood spill roster over on bleach.

the reason why I am so certain Jiraiya will die or be gravely wounded is because as of yet there is no direct relationship between Naruto and Pein. Seems fairly clear the story is leading up to a fight between the two, and like all Naruto one-on-one fights, there is going to need to be some overly moral quest that naruto must complete. In all his fights he doing it to save or avenge someone else, currently that is lacking.

So did Itachi. And Jiraiya came and spanked them. I don't see Pein being the ultimate bad a$$ that can take Jiraiya down when both Kisame and Itachi couldn't. I think Naruto fans just want more deaths to happen and since Jiraiya said something nostalgic he just HAS to die rather than he will die.
