120 myself, though about 500 in my house...assuming you mean CD's.
Records I've got about another 500 easily, probably more. Again, in house, around 50 myself.
And 200 or so cassettes, ten 8 tracks.
Retro. :peace:

Yes, adema. That's one of the lost albums in my collection.
Every month or so I'll go out and buy four albums I want. That doesn't include new releases, if a album I want comes out I go buy it when I can.
Wow Kenshin that's impressive, how long have you been collecting for?

Since I've made music my life. (Ie: Since I was born.) :D\
Well, my dad's always been into music as well, so he had most of the records before I was born, and that's all we listened to for the first few years of my life...I've obtained my own through hand me downs or as presents, or from yard sales and the like.
Same with the tapes...the 8 tracks are basically all my dad, thought he says they're ours out of niceness. :)
The CD's I've always bought since for a while as I liked music, there was no iTunes or anything. So that's all I had. Needless to say, sadly, since iTunes and the internet generation came about, I've bought fewer CD's. But I still do. I actually just bought a new one today. :D The Sex Pistols: Nevermind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols.
So yeah, short bio of my music collecting life. :)

I'd say about 30 CD's I bought and one Vinyl album... to bad I can't listen to it. It was a promotional thing from the park avenue music store.

I've found this site that claims to be able to super size your ipod by shrinking your tunes, I wonder if it works...

Probably. There will be a perceptible loss in quality though. That's the way audio compression works. You get more perceptible quality the less you compress your files. There's a point of diminishing returns of course...

As far as owning actual cd's, like domestic releases from a music store, (not including anime/game/other imports), I own about 500 cd's I believe. I don't buy cd's too often anymore though, as I focus more on dvd's. When I DO buy cd's, it's almost only modern jazz artists or movie scores (speaking of which, where the heck is the Transformer's score Jablonsky!)
While I download a lot of anime/game/foreign artist albums, I don't download music domestic releases at all, aside from some movie scores that are difficult to find for purchase.
I think the last domestic cd I purchased was the Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers - The Complete Recordings.... which was in winter '06.

I have no idea. I used to have a lot, but I've sold and traded them throughout the years.
Probaly about 30? I've been buying DVDs more and more. Though I've been buying CDS again domestic-wise.
For foreign, I've been downloading.

More than twenty, less than forty. Somewhere in that range. CDs are drastically overpriced for the amount of music you get, so I tend to go for stuff I can download (unlicensed). Also, importing is cheaper in some cases. I got the bamillion-song-soundtrack (around 60, I think?) for DDRMAX2 for twenty bucks, including shipping. I would have gotten around twenty songs if I got CDs at ten bucks each...which you can't really find much.

I have around 20-30 CDs. I used to have more, but I sold a big chunk of my collection off when my music tastes changed drastically.
I have at least 60+ burned CDs, though....
