In the end, when the Naruto series is nearing its end, who do you think will end up being the final boss of the series? I ask this question because for one I thought it would be kinda fun to hear what others have to say and also do to the fact that Kishimoto has created so many villains for the series.

While many plot holes still remain and there is the possibility new characters may be introduced, based on your own reasoning tell us why you think any one of these characters may be the "Big Boss" *yes, that is a pun at Metal Gear Solid*

I had a hard choice between Madara/Obito and Danzou but I went with Danzou. He seems like the kinda guy that operates behind the scenes plus he's close to Konoha. He maybe watching everyone closely waiting for a chance to act. I don't know. I really don't know his true intentions....something about him just bothers me.

I'm going with Orochimaru. With the build up he had and everything he went through only to be finished off like he was a nobody? I'm convince we haven't seen the last of him by a long shot.

Personally, I think Itachi will end soon. We need some closure on that and to see Sasuke and Naruto reunited. I'm convinced Naruto and Sasuke will team up to kill Itachi and Pein or Obito will capture Naruto and Sasuke goes to save him.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the end result is Orochimaru taking over Obito/Madara when Konoha leaves him for dead after rescuing Naruto.

In order to go full-circle and close out Naruto's story, the final "villain" would have to be Kyuubi. We would have to see what happens when Naruto dies. Would Kyuubi be released or... would it disappear along with Naruto?

For an epilogue, Kishimoto would have to do a quick rundown of the events in Naruto's life and then end it with his death, otherwise there will always be the question of what will happen with Kyuubi.

Definitely. I think after everyone else is out of the way a rematch is coming, and that's the way the manga will end.

I decided to refrain from adding Sasuke and Naruto himself to the list. My reason for not adding Sasuke was I personally did not see him as a villain. Since this is a shonen manga I have never considered Sasuke a villain. I consider Sasuke to be more along the lines of a "Vegeta" rather then a "Frieza" or "Majin Boo". Naruto technically is a villain only because of the Kyuubi inside him. When he is overtaken by the Kyuubi he becomes everyones enemy.

Kishimoto may decide to end the series with a Naruto vs. Sasuke fight, however, that doesn't really make either one of the two villains.

how can you say who is a villian or not.. we are given a biast portrayal of each characters view.. its not who is the villian your asking its who the final hurdle narutow ill have to overcome (big boss) and its sasuke

It's pretty obvious that the Naruto series will end with a Naruto vs. Sasuke fight. Kishimoto has to satisfy his fan girls by letting the boys rip each others clothes apart. I suppose if more and more Sasuke fanboys and fangirls complain enough then I guess I can add him to the list. However, I just don't consider Sasuke evil in any way which is what the poll I created is about. Perhaps I should of rephrased it, "Which evil dude will Naruto fight last? (Sasuke not included)"

hah awesome.. i hope it to be orochimaru/kabuto.. orochimaru has been portrayed (not in recent times, but back in the day) as the most powerful ninja in the land.. add kabutos abilities and we should have an even more amazing ninja.. plus everyone seems to have given up on ol oro

It wont be Naruto vs Susuke.. that would be pretty lame imo.

For this series to end properly, itachi needs to die a hero (everything revealed), and the old team needs to re-unite to destroy the final villan. (personally i think Susuke needs to die :() and Naruto becomes Hokage.

I don't think Kakashi will live to see the end of the series, he just seems to have that vibe about him, that he'll end up dying to save naruto or something along those lines.

kakashi will get killed by orochimaru.. remember when they had that encounter and kakshi was all like **** man this dude is too strong and couldnt do anything? kakassi will make ammends and fight him but die in the process

Kabutoro as of right now doesn't look like he's strong enough to deal with anyone just yet, but we've seen kabuto alone give people a run for their money.

Most shows end where they start, I picked Itachi. But I would be more inclined to pick Sasuke if he was an option. I don't ever see him going back to the Konoha village.

Probably. He didn't really 'betray' them in any way (aside from naruto / sakura being emoly obsessed), he kind of just left. He would be the strongest or second strongest nin if he did return, certainely already capable of taking the Hokage title.
But as hes stated in the manga, he has no interest in going back.

A fight between Kakashi vs. Kabuto/Oro hybrid would make sense. He has fought Kabuto in the past and lost, and he has almost fought Orochimaru. It would make sense, but I hardly think that pathetic character will be the final boss of Naruto and I wonder why people picked him? *shrungs* Probably not manga readers.

I would have to say, Naruto himself could be a possibillity for the final bout.
When he went Four Tails on Orochimaru, he didn't care who he attacked, as long as he attacked someone.
And since they said the Fourth's seal is weakening, it lends to the possibility of Naruto going full-fledged Nine Tails, and having the whole of the village turn against him once again.
And seeing as the village got owned last time with Yondaime, I doubt it would just be Konoha fighting Naruto.

I don't remember Kakashi ever loosing to Kabuto. If you are referring to his encounter during the chuunin exam arc then it was a stale mate.

Orochimaru, IMO. He's just going to get stronger than he is and he's already a lot stronger than Naruto.
