Newb to Naruto

Ok I just recently started watching Naruto. I've watched up to episode 136 and skimmed up to 143. When does the good stuff begin again?

Everything past the Sasuke/Naruto fight up to 143 seems boring and I wanted to your recommendations as to which episodes are worth watching after that. I really just want to skip to Shipuuden but I don't want to go WTF because I missed some important stuff.

umm personally I'd say go ahead to shippuuden. I think you got all of the good stuff out of the way

I wanna see what episode Sai comes in though. What ep would that be/?

Sai comes in Shippuuden. He hasn't appeared in the anime yet only the manga. In naruto, Naruto is still really young. In the timeskip, (shippuuden, is where he meets up and gets paired with Sai.

Sai is briefly in Naruto Shippuden Episode 1. The premier episode of Shippuden used a chapter thats way far in advance for hype, I think its done nicely.

In the original Naruto anime anything after episode 133 is made up [filler] and should be discarded as trash.

I recommend watching episode 220. THis is the departure episode... you will know what i mean once you see it. Its also the last episode right before they TS into Shipuuden

Seriously tho, I'd recommend watching episodes 195/196. Two of the best filler episodes for Naruto.

I was wondering if anyone knows a place where I can see episode summaries for 150 on. I saw a 1-150 one, but nothing past that unfortunately. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

I'm sure there somewhere but you really don't need to read them they aren't real material and I guarantee they won't come up in Shippuden.

Sigh this is one reason why i personally hated the fillers, people starting Naruto run straight into them and just think its cr*p.

They should have labled the fillers, there not doing them any justice. Personally i only knew because i was up to date with Naruto on the forums..

You won't have to. They're fillers and are just dumb stuff created by the anime-makers to stall time so the mangaka could write ahead. They don't progress the storyline one bit.

I've seen some(I own one of the boxsets) and I've been watching the marathon on CN on and off today.

Nuruto is ok. I suggest keep watching the dub on Cartoon Network for some time before moving to fansubs. The series is on DVD too, which you should get as well. The DVDs and dub should catch up with the fansubs by the time you finish them.

I didn't watch any of the fillers (I dare anyone to accuse me of not being a true fan); as soon as I heard Shippuden was out, I skipped straight on to it. And so far, there has been nothing that has given me the impression that I missed something by not watching the fillers. So you can just go on ahead and skip to episode 220 or 221. (I guess 220 is the departure episode, although since I've read the manga, I didn't bother watching that episode.)
