While I was in California, I scored part of The Sentinel using Logic Pro 7... and The LA Philharmonic and FOX's mixing/recording studio staff that is... xD. Anyways, this is what we came out with (we only had two takes... 20 minutes of studio time... and that's it).

It was SO much work. I'm too poor to hire orchestrators or copyists, so I had to do all the finale work myself (ontop of composing the piece). I stayed up til' 12 AM almost everynight, and still, I screwed up the celli parts and the transpose function on Finale didn't work correctly for the trumpets... (that ate half of my studio time... just fixing those problems on the stand). Anyways... the orchestra peoples were nice enough, but the trumpet player got pissed that half of his notes were off. He let me know, too. I was running around the orchestra yelling sorry and trying to fix everything...

Anyways, this is the score I did. Hope you like it.

EDIT: Oh yeah... I'd be happy if I got some feedback... on the piece. Please. Sorry that you don't have the video feed to compare, but Sheezy Art don't support Film Scores with the Vid. attached).

Pretty good. I liked it.

Now some critic:

Regarding composition - Make it reacher. You have the orchestra. Give more work to everybody in it. Add more parties in PP to make it more eerie and fill weird pauses with some connections between parts.

Regarding record - It seems to me that you haven't got from the orchestra what you wanted. Practice more.

Pfft, I do that everynight WITHOUT composing music. :P

Pretty good piece overall.

Thanks for the feedback.

I ain't get anything I wanted out of the orchestra, you're right. It was my first time conducting an orchestra... and I really didn't feel too confident after the embarassment of having the parts wrong (celli and bass). As for the instrumentation... I suck. Orchestration is something I'm just starting to get into... I'll work on my conducting skills, promise. 10 minutes every night, after I brush my teeth.

EDIT: You know, Sheezy Art sucks... no one ever views my songs... and I never get feedback...
