While he was able to get information on Akatsuki, Suigetsu informs them that there's none to be had on Itachi
暁の面々には特別なチャクラがあって動物が反応するとの事。
Apparently each Akatsuki has a special chakra which animals respond to.

あとはカリンと水月の喧嘩、ジュウゴの暴走を止めるみたいな感じがあって 場面終了
Karin and Suigetsu get in a quarrel afterwards. The scene ends with Juugo's berserk rage being quelled.

Kakashi says that traceable signs of Sasuke are present by scent, but that the trail goes cold there.

But with Kiba's amazing sense of smell, he's able to discover Sasuke's scent.

We know that the mastermind is Tobi when the back is (lit up?) by thunder/lightning.

How could Tobi be Obito when Tobi is Madara? Madara has been around at least long enough to have met the Kyuubi. Unless Obito randomly became Madara after being crushed, I don't see it happening. Maybe he covers the left eye because it still has perfect sight? Or vice versa, and he's trying to keep at least one perfect eye, whereas Itachi lets both eyes deteriorate.

Noone knows crap about Madara, so it's just as likely he's also Obito as far as I'm concerned. Still, Kishi got us good with that one if it's genuine. All we know is Madara's so evil it makes the nine tails look like his pet, so of course the one person noone expected the Akatsuki comic relief to be is Madara.

Why read spoilers if you aren't caught up? It seems to ruin the surprise and suspense, in my opinion.

Anyway, it's nice to have it verified that Tobi has the Sharingan as many, including myself, believed. It is surprising that he calls himself Uchiha Madara, but in my opinion, he's still Obito. I remember in an early translation, when Uchiha Madara was first mentioned, there was some doubt as to whether Uchiha Madara was a name or if it meant "Uchiha of the past, Original Uchiha" or something along those lines. So revealing Tobi with the Sharingan and calling himself Uchiha Madara while having the desire to return everything to what it was beforehand... well, it really makes for an interesting new storyline, or at least adds a different twist to the current one.

Hm, what I find somewhat confusing though is why he even asked Zetsu about joining Akatsuki in the first place... Even if he is supposed to be the "secret" leader of the Akatsuki, I don't see why he would pretend to be Zetsu's subordinate or underling. It'll probably be explained later on, but right now it's just a confusing point.

Oh, and the thing about Obito's eye being crushed, it's been discussed and analyzed so many times that I find it almost pointless to repost anything about it. Discussion about it can be readily found on the largest Naruto forums.

I waited until a confirmed translation could be out before I started on the Madara topic (was a skeptic until then). A third surviving Uchiha, does anyone else not care? Sure Tobi is unique.....but unless he has a variety of skills that Sasuke / Itachi does not possess I will be bored with him.

Here are a few questions to keep in mind:
Did Itachi know Tobi had the Sharingan? Or was Tobi powerful enough to elude Itachi?
Did Tobi let Diedera die? (my guess, yes)
What is the relationship between Kyuubi / Tobi?
Does Madara = Obito?

Heres also a translation (an accurate one):

Suigetsu: Woah, ya don't say! Base creatures like animals can pick up chakra too...wait, no... they can pick it up because they're base - Just like Karin!

Karin: Come again!?

水月「うばっ！！」

Suigetsu: Whoa!

Karin kicks Suigetsu in the face.

Yamato: Typically, it would mean that either Sasuke was flung away without a trace by the explosion*, or he used space-time ninjutsu to teleport to another location.

*I had a lot of trouble with this line, so take it with a pinch of salt.

キバ「いや…どうやら後者の様だぜ」

Kiba: From what I can tell... yeah, it's the latter.

ナルト「！？」

Naruto: ?

キバ「今のオレは犬以上に鼻が利く。見つけたぜサスケ！」

Kiba: My nose right now's better than a Ninken's*! I'm on to ya, Sasuke!

*Ninken = ninja dog.

Puppet master: Uzumaki Naruto... he can no longer be dismissed as a mere brat. Not only is he equiped with powerful jutsu, but his comrades are numerous, as well. It won't be easy. He took out two of Kakuzu's hearts in a single blow, if you can believe that.

暁女「ターゲットを恐るべしとする言葉は塵に等しい。ペインは負けたことが無いのだか ら」

Girl: Your words of caution are unwarranted. Pain's yet to lose a single battle.

黒幕「フフ…ま…それもそうだな。話は終わりだ…他のメンバーに残りの人柱力を急がせ ろ」

Puppet master: Heheh...well...there's no denying that. That'll be all. Have the other members pick up the pace in their hunt for the remaining Jinchuuriki.

ペイン「分かっている」

Pain: No need to tell me that.

黒幕、壁にかかった暁コートを掴んで羽織る

The Puppet master takes the Akatsuki coat that hung on the wall puts it on.

黒幕「いよいよだ…我らが目的を達成するのもあと僅か…」

Puppet master: The time is finally at hand…and it won’t be long before our objective is achieved.

雲行きがあやしくなる

The cloudy sky grows ominous.

黒幕「そうなれば全てが本来の形に戻るのだ…」

Puppet master: And then, all will return to it's rightful state.* (*Lit. it's original form, for those who wish to look deeply into the line).

雨が降り出し、雷が落ちる

It starts to rain, and lighting falls.

光でトビの顔が現れる

We see Tobi's face under the light.

トビ「写輪眼の本当の力が…このうちはマダラの力が」

Tobi: And Sharingan's true power... the power of I, Uchiha Madara will -!

お面の穴からは写輪眼

Through the hole in his mask we see Sharingan.

どこかへ行ってしまうトビ

Tobi disappears.

暁女「また空が鳴きだした…ペイン…アナタ…」

Girl: The heavens cry again... Pain... you...

Sidebar: A shocking truth is revealed by the light of the storm! (no pun intended). The one pulling Akatsuki's strings is Tobi...and his eye is a Sharingan! The third surviving Uchiha calls forth lighting!

I was reading the raw and noticed that it was sort of strange the way Tobi presented himself as Uchiha Madara. He said:

"The Sharingan's true power is this Uchiha Madara's power." The "this" is most likely referring to himself, but I just found it strange that he would say his name to the others instead of just saying "my power". It can be explained as it being presented to the readers, but it seems like it could've been done in a clearer manner unless something else was intentionally being hinted at by Kishimoto. Also, I noticed that Uchiha Madara is highlighted by a bunch of dots, which I haven't seen before in the text that I've read, so I don't really know what they signify. I'm just assuming that it's for emphasis, but maybe someone else can explain.

Yeah, I've been reading a couple of threads on this, and everyone agrees that Kishi is hinting at something else, so Tobi might not "be" Uchiha Madara afterall.

Yeah, of course the Tobi=Obito theory is still alive. This is just even more evidence for it since the Sharingan was finally shown. He's called himself Tobi, and now he seems to be calling himself Madara. Unless there are two Tobi's, it seems to me that he'll eventually reveal himself as being Obito.

hmm.. it is really confusing at this point, i just read chapter 364. There were some bogus theories i came up in the middle of reading:

1.) Tobi was Acting Dumb(on purpose) and wanted to know more on how Deidara creates his bombs

* lets not forget that during the chunin exam, as preparation Sasuke was able to copy Rock Lee's style of Taijutsu for his Chidori

2.) Tobi just wanted to see how far the abilities of the other members where in battle

3.) There are actually 2 people wearing the same mask. My Guess is(Obito and Madara)

* if this theory is correct there might be a possibility that Obito's memory was replaced.

4.) Tobi was bored(nothing else to think of..)

I once thought that either Orochimaru, Sasori and/or Zetsu revived Obito and turned him into Tobi. But now that he has appeared as the leader, it really throws everything out the window. Also, and this is giving me a BAD headache, how the f*ck did Sasuke not perceive Tobi's Sharingan when he slashed him?

Obito was mad because Kakashi, Rin and the 4th didn't come rescue what was left of him after they finished their mission. He gets stronger or meets this Madara and gets his power or merges with him, calls himself now Madara and baits Kyuubi into attacking Konoha.

i doubt he was mad, as i recall they got separated with the 4th and Obito didn't seem to be mad since Kakashi was his bestfriend he decided to give him his left sharingan eye, just after Obito was able to use the Sharingan, just before his death when Rin was there. It also served as a Death wish since there was nothing they could do.

I would have to agree with Punnchy, it sounds like Tobi is mentioning his power and comparing it to Uchiha Madara's....maybe even those two could be partners as well. That would definitely make a powerful team, although a whole lot of Sharingan in the story then too.

alright, only thing I have issue with on Obito theories is that he has absolutely no motive. He liked everyone and died in unfortunate circumstances. Those dots only mean emphasis, its actually more common than you might think. Sometimes they also imply speaking slowly, sylable by sylable, but that kind of goes hand in hand with the japanese style of emphasis.

I feel that Madara some how saved Obito and is using his body or something along the lines of Zetsu, due to the mask I can not sway away from Madara / Obito being a completely separate entities. They probably are connected.

That's kinda what I was thinking. Or, perhaps Obito was the reincarnation of Madara from the start. When Tobi says, "The Sharingan's true power...my power...Uchiha Madara's power", it could be an indication as to how the Sharingan bloodline began. As most of us should know, the Sharingan is said to have evolved from the Byakugan bloodline so perhaps Uchiha Madara was originally a member of the Hyuuga clan and formed a contract or seal with a demon to gain the Sharingan. Sounds far fetched but I haven't heard to many theories about the Sharingan origin. And on another note, looks like Itachi wasn't fooled into thinking Sasuke was dead. I wonder how he could tell.

Maybe Madara had taken the body of the Uchiha who was Itachi's bff, hence why Itachi offed him. And as he was getting offed he resorted to taking Obito's crappy decrepid corpse.

Then Itachi wipes out his entire clan to end the threat of the body snatcher, but couldn't bring himself to take out his brother. Not that it would matter if Madara survived taking Obito's body. Who knows? If Madara's a body snatcher the possibilities are endless.

Yeh i agree,people have been so determined that tobi is obito just as much as everyone was so sure the leader was the 4th hokage and now naruto's relative of some sort but i'm not buying it tobi may or may not be obito there are many arguments such as the position of the eyehole where obito lost or the pinned up body can be attributed to obito's crushed body under the rocks. i'm willing to entertain this theory but the fact is Pein is the Akatsuki leader and he's not yodaime or narutos father or his brother. aint it just possible hes a non related character?

The thing with Tobi being Obito is that it's been hinted at since he was first introduced, so now with the revelation of the Sharingan, which wasn't too much of a surprise for those who believe that he is Obito, people are just waiting for Tobi to reveal himself as Obito, despite what he calls himself.

Anyway, for those who are big into Naruto theories, and Tobi in particular, this revelation gave both sides more evidence going one way or the other. Tobi is not Obito because he said he was Uchiha Madara. Tobi is Obito because he has the Sharingan on the right-side of his face. It's still a relative stalemate.

While I feel that everything still adds up to Tobi being Obito, those who didn't pick up on the clues and foreshadowing won't believe it until they see it.

well, yea, but thats like saying that all his plans are futile because he's going to die in 50 years anyway (assuming some sort of normal lifespan). At least this way he could maybe maximize his time.

The theory has been around since Tobi appeared over a year ago. I don't feel like repeating my view just to sway the mind of one person at this moment, so you'll have to stick with the view that Tobi is just Madara until it's revealed otherwise. I'll stick with my initial thoughts on the matter.
