Thanks, Yuki. :huggles: Yep, so if they hire me, I'd become a Vet assistant instead of graphic designer. ^^; My family is not going to pleased with that though, because they paid a lot for me when I studied that. U_U However, they are the one to told me not to pay attention to my portfolio, and expect me to do anything that got paid. They even says that I can work as a graphic designer as a part time job while I have some other work. -__-

if you must, only do Graphic Design as like a hobby. I'm not saying that becuase it's useless, but if you're not into anything right now that involves it, you're most likely going to find another career benifitial. Only do Graphic Design on your spare time, in the mean time work on something that's more practical around your area.

Proffessions like Graphic Design take a lot of time and practice, as well as a life time commitment. I don't want to sound like it's impossable to do, but it takes more then a few classes to make it a career. I understand how you're going to do it and i'm doing that too, I just bought a really good computer from money I earned from working at a grocery store. But recently I've been distracted by video games and I regret it. I faild a class last year becuase of this.

Don't get distracted from what you want to do, it will ruin your motivation.

What I mean professional is from what I have studied in design school for 3-4 years is that portfolio is very important, and you shall never sell out, be a hack designer by design some work to client and lt them charge you cheap. It hurt the coomunity as a whole. My family don't want me to focus on making a good portflio though. They think it's a waste, and I should just stuff every works in whatever folder when I present to client and let client charge me cheap. =P

I went to the Vet Clinic to fill the application form today. I think it's depends on the work environment, if I'm going to be happy working as Vet assistant or not-I still want to be a designer, but it has been 4 years since I grad, and I don't have much budget for my portfolio yet. >__<; It's weird enough already for me to took a job as a designer, after being unemployed for 4 years. I also doesn't have any jobs experience to put in my resume, so it's always awkward when I have a jb interview. =P

I went to fill the application form at clinic today, though I doubt I will get hired. ^^; I didn't have 1" photo for application form and didn't bring any paper with me. And the Vet looks cranky when he asked me questions, not to mention that my answers aren't good either. T_T

i use to have that same problem but you just have to train yourself for interviews with friends and draw on life experiences. What type of designing are did you major in? I am positive there are million of designers that are needed out there, but idk if they are in your area. try the city. Office interviews are always hard. my palms gets sweaty and i stumble on my words, but after a few practices, it isnt so bad anymore. Dont worry you probably got the job, but keep looking, you shouldnt put all your eggs in one basket. lol
