Strange Coincidence

I work nights at a hotel in the middle of no where in the mountains of WV, and its usually pretty dead. I watch anime on my portable dvd player while there, so anyway, im watching FMP and a customer comes up asking about a room. For some unknown reason he tells me hes heading to baltimore (where im originally from). Not such an odd coincidence. But then, for some other unknown reason, he mentions he needs to move in some valuable stuff from his car. He tells me its cosplay stuff for hgis daughter. I do a double take. Then he tells me shes into anime and is going to a convention. I was a little weirded out, laughed and showed him my portable :P

Anyway, got no one else to tell such a weird story to, so maybe you'd get a chuckle.

That's pretty funny. I don't know of too many parents that would condone their daughters cosplaying. Heck, I don't think I would even want my children (I don't have any yet) cosplaying at conventions because of the scary sorts you can find there.

Did you see her? Because he said she was his daughter, the tendancy is to assume she's a teen, but she is still his daughter no matter what age she is. He could have meant an adult daughter.

She looked like she was 15, 16 tops. He said she was autistic too which kinda made me scratch my head (tho she looked like a normal teen to me...i mean there is different levels of autism).

No they parked around the corner, i resisted the urge to mention anything about maids or cat ears :P

That's not surprising. I myself am autistic and I look as normal as they come.

The autism wasn't odd to me, the fact he mentioned it at all was weird, as it didn't seem to matter...

Then it probably doesn't really matter. She may just have Asperger's, which is the form of autism I have, and it barely even affects my life bar certain social situations.

She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle in bel Air'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day,
But she packed my suit case and send me on my way.
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad,
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of Bel-Air Living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear their prissy, bourgeois and all that
Is Bel-Air the type of place they send this cool cat?
I don't think so; I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop and yelled my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested, I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightening, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror
If anything I can say this cab is rare
But I thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air'

I pulled up to the house about 7 or 8
And I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo homes smell ya later'
I looked at my kingdom, I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of Bel Air

guess they were on their way to Otakon. My guess she was either a Naruto, Bleach, or Final Fantasy cosplayer

aww haha that was really funny, and did you do anything else? just show him your dvd and that was that?

Well yeah, he actually couldn't stay at my motel due to his own health requirements, and had to get down the road to find another :(
