Disagree. It looks like he just picked the worst photos he could find. Sure there are tons of horrible costumes out there, but they don't outweigh the gorgeous or well-done ones.

I disagree as well. He says they try to show how much they look like characters, I say they do it for the fun of it. I have seen an AMAZING Vincent at animeboston last year, and my friend even exchanged Email addresses with the kid. He was cool, and the best Vincent I ever saw.

I will say though, those Japanese cosplayers were awesome, and it also seems to be the writer of that does not know the difference between Kadaj and Sephiroth. The Japanese Sephiroth was a Kadaj.

Disagree; this article is very poorly illustrated. Its obvious, since he has one thin cosplayer, then a fat cosplayer with a bad outfit. That is bad taste atleast show multiple cosplayers of the same character, instead of a good and bad one.

Cosplay is for the fan to be for atleast one night, their favorite character. So what they may not have alot of money to make costumes. And yes some are really hideous, but all that doesnt matter its all fun. Except the occasional cosplay competition lol but its still fun.

And their are so many well done outfits that i could care less what this guy says cause i know :)

Disagree. The Japanese may be better at cosplaying, but "banning" Americans from doing it is stupid.

Disagree.He picked up the worst pictures he could get from American ones,and the model ones from Japanese?!?! This guy is ridiculous. The best Rikku-Lacus Clyne,etc i ever saw was American btw...
And about the other matter....what does it mean,if the people dont have the looks to cosplay they shouldnt have fun themselves?Like Japanese cosplayers are only the models,or all japanese look like models? LMAO
