View Full Version : Just a wee bit confused about the rules...

I'm just a little bit confused about the rules here. That should be understandable considering this is a hentai forum that doesn't allow hentai... even off-site hentai. It's just a little confusing.

There's a note from moongirl at the top of the category that states: "This forum category contains material of an adult nature including, but not necessarily limited to, graphic depictions of sexuality".

So it looks like pictures featuring sex (hardcore) are okay. BUT....

The FAQ states: "hardcore images and links to hardcore images are not" allowed.

Now it looks like sexual type pictures are allowed (like nudity), but not hardcore sex scenes. BUT....

In practice, this somehow got twisted into no depictions of any nudity whatsoever??? Huh? So not even R-rated nudity? A nipple through a wet T-shirt? Druuna's backside? Sailormoon's henshin sequence???

And to make all of this even more confusing, AnimeNation sells hentai and has sold hentai since its inception. In fact, it was founded as a porn archive way back when it was the Freethought Anime Archive.

So yeah, I'm confused. No nudity? No links to free sites? Even sites with incidental nudity? Uh... what about links to other AnimeNation pages (http://www.animenation.com/comictenma0507.html)?

I'm not trying to give anyone a hard time, just trying to get some clarification. I certainly do appreciate having my posts edited in a friendly manner rather than blocked or having my account banned, so thank you for being tolerant of honest mistakes.

I wonder if the rules need to be revised if they have been misinterpreted? What is the reason for not even allowing links to sites with incidental nudity?

AN sells Hentai to those people of age, the majority of the people on the forum are not of age. So posting naughty pictures so little Jimmy can whack off at home is discouraged here as we want to be family friendly and cannot control were little Jimmy goes on the forum. What we can control is what is posted in the said forum, hence the rule. To be honest 90% of it is aimed at 14 year olds who post "Weres can I gets Free HENTaiS??111!!!!!!LOLZ" or site mongers spamming their sites.

I don't know about that. Take a look at the birthdays displayed on the index today. There are two under 18. Usually the majority seem to be 18+.

That is assuming they disclose their birthday when they register.

I have to double agree with this. Everyday there is AT LEAST one guy asking for free hentai, OR Asking what some hentai is he saw on some website.
I hve asked the mods and admins and such to better keep such things from happening but they ahve fallen on deaf ears

Maybe they're hoping once it's identified they'll buy it from AN. Whenever I ask for IDs I add them to my RA queue.

While I agree with having issues about where to down download various H-animes, I don't have an issue with someone asking which H-anime a scene is from. Because someone asks doesn't mean some is trying to steal it by a quick download. I have bought many titles after seeing a brief clip and finding out from someone what the clip is from.

I do feel that it's unfortunate that the admins and mods of this site seem more concerned about the underage viewers than the members and AN Customers who are of legal age on these forums. But that is what sites such as Hongfire and others are for . . . .

I mean more like, they asked what it is from (usually posting a pic or link against the rules) and then they never come back. They are partly why we have so many members, but so few active members
