I think everyone knew that it was going to come down to a suicide attack. I haven't seen the scan yet does Tobi even show up in this chapter? Someone is going to find a beaten and weak Sasuke next chapter only question is who is it going to be. The rest of team Snake, one of the group from Konoha or Tobi.

Yeah i just saw/read it. Wonder what condition will Tobi be in too. I was thinking the explosion would be more like a mushroom cloud, it looked more like a blast from an Angel (Eva). Deidara sure had a thing for tongues, didn't expect to see one on his chest and didn't think he could launch the ones on his hands like that.

Sasuke mentioned that he had a fallback if his sword had triggered an explosion. It's likely that fallback might save him from this explosion as well.

Tobi took a swing from Sasuke earlier in this battle and it didn't even effect him, the probability of him being a very fast moving ninja is high. If he is obito, it would be expected seeing as what team he was on as a child.

well, as mentioned above, he could dodge an attack from Sasuke, plus outrunning a tailed beast in water also helps him to get high on the list.

with the Sasuke slashing Tobi scene, Sasuke looked surprised to see Tobi get back up. If Tobi dodged it, Sasuke would've felt the sword not hit anything, so some could argue that the sowrd in fact did hit Tobi, but he has some special ability that kept him alive.
Which might save him from this explosion too.

I didn't realize what the cover was until I looked back over it after what corncopp said lol, it is an interesting cover. I agree with you Corncopp though, that is one of the "manliest" deaths I've seen in a while. Like someone said, it was his ninja way to go out with a bang ^ ^. Fantastic chapter and overall fight!

Also though, on what darknataku(spelling?) said. The initial explosions I could see not being seen, from the looks of it their in the middle of the woods atleast far enough away that the explosions can't be seen over the trees/mountains whatever. But that last one was a ****ing nuke and cements my idea even more that Kakashi will make an appearance very very soon.

Even if Tobi survives they're down to 6 Akatsuki. They're dropping like flies and Nebi hasn't even done squat to begin with. I'm wondering how much Naruto is left?

He still has to become Hokage. Kyuubi has to be dealt with too. Unknown pasts also have to be fleshed out. I think all of us would like to know the details behind what happened the night of the Kyuubi attack.
