Things seem to be going back to the wrestling side lately. Hardy vs MVP should be a good match, Kane has always been good. Botchtista vs the Great Suckli will be absolutely horrible. London and Kendrik are great.

I'd probably watch WWE if the lost alot of soap opera and focused on.....oh......whats it called again.............oh YEAH! Wresting! Until then, I have a whole library of All Japan, New Japan, All Japan Women's, JWP, and FMW (occasionally) to watch in the meantime.

Great American Bash is looking to be a very haphazard PPV. Aside from CM Punk vs. Nitro (ECW has been looking pretty good ever since the draft) and MVP vs. Matt Hardy (I like both of these guys, and it's good to see Matt getting a title shot), there's nothing else that really grabs my attention.

I don't even want to think about Batista vs. Khali. Bad. Just bad. Edge vs. Kane will probably be decent, but nothing great. Don't give a damn about the women's match. I'm not too sure what to expect out of the Texas Bull Rope match, but it's been a damn long time since I've seen one of those. It needs to be a short match considering Dusty Rhodes is in it. But this could build Orton into even more of a monster heel. Cena vs. Lashley could either be pretty good or pretty bad. I'll just have to wait and see. Cena is totally gonna win though, although the WWE has been booking Lashley just like they have Cena, but I don't see them taking the belt off him yet. I could be wrong.

I'm still hoping for a quality Edge vs. Matt Hardy feud on SmackDown, this time for the world title. The history is already there so the writers won't have to do much -- just remind us of what happened a while back and they have a great feud on their hands. Will it happen? Probably not.

Did they reintegrate the roster or something? People keep popping up on whatever show they feel like, it seems.

All the PPVs now feature all three brands, but that's about it. I wish they would recombine the brands, though. Leave ECW by itself to be the place to develop new wrestlers (it needs a name change), and recombine RAW and SmackDown. I think the rosters are a bit too thin for brand extension now.

I'm going to give it some effort and try to watch on a more consistent basis. I haven't been able to ever since the invasion angle (2002?) which killed it for me. I've been watching since I was born and became exhausted with it after so many years of being a diehard fan. It was my biggest obsession for so long and there has been a large hole ever since. I've always been big into Japanese wrestling. Recently I discovered Ishimori Taiji who's blown me away. His match against Marufuji (another favorite of mine) was one of the best I've seen in recent years.

So I guess it all starts tomorrow with Smack Down. I'll give it a shot. *Sets a reminder on his cell phone*

Smackdown!'s tonight, I'm watchin'. I think that Cena's alright but WWE knows that 70% of their audience hates him but they insist he's everybody's favorite wrestler. We should put spoilers and rumors on this thread.

Thing about Cena is that he's a very "safe" champion. His moves are low risk. His history is clean (no drugs/abuse/etc). He's young. He is (for the WWE) the perfect representative champion of the company. I don't like the guy, and none of my friends like him -- he seriously needs to turn heel -- but he's going to be champ and a face until they find someone they like better, orton mayhap.

Uhh...WWE.com is reporting that Great Khali has won the World Heavyweight Championship on SmackDown due to an Edge injury. My favorite WWE show just got really bad...

SmackDown really does have an injury curse.

Edge is the one with a curse, every time he gets a major push, he gets hurt and screws the whole thing up.

As for Khali, he's only going to be a transitional champ, I can't see them running with him as champ, he doesn't have any skill at all, not wrestling ability, not Showmanship, and he can't sell worth a damn. His only strength is that he's big, but they can't run with that. Paul Wight at least had some talent, this guy has nothing.

No, Batista or Kane are going to get the push by beating him to become champion.

GOod to see theyre allowing Kane to keep his shot. But lets face the facts, the guy has never had a storyline that worked (raping dead people; being burnt one night, then declared 'mentally burned' the next; Kane fathering Lita's kid; im probably forgetting a lot of good ones). Kane has only held the title once and that was only for 24 hours because they didnt want to bother setting him on fire. I'm guessing either it will end in DQ or Batista will win.

Only reason i could see them giving Kane the title is for Kane vs. Undertaker @ Summerslam, in which Undertaker would win.

The only time I've ever been really interested in Kane was when he was first introduced at the start of the Attitude Era with the storyline between him and Undertaker. Ever since that ended I never really paid much attention to him. When they took his mask off it killed any mystery that he had left in him and he's been pretty dull for the past few years.

One final Undertaker vs. Kane match would be kind of interesting if it was for the title. Although Kane vs. Undertaker has been played out for a while now. They'd have to think of something different to make that match interesting. I don't know what...

But it won't happen anyway, so we probably don't need to think about it.

Man how could someone as lame as khali beat Edge? Im not a big wrestling fan but i enjoy watching the things Edge does here and there.

He didn't beat him. Edge relinquished the title (since he has a legit injury) like Batista had to do a little over a year ago. Then Khali won the title in battle royal like Kurt Angle did after Batista gave up the title. Too bad Kurt Angle's not around to win it again... *sigh*

But like Dashikaze said, he will probably only be a transitional champion. We can only hope. Though I'm not too fond of Batista winning it either. I'm way past sick of him, and he's just a bore to watch in the ring.

well whoever becomes the new champ, they will only be holding the belt till Edge returns! Man i got a kick out of all the times he made a shmuck outta Randy Orton.

Great Khali is indeed the new champ unfortunately. Probably so Botchtista can win it back. This is Michael Hayes doing btw, he loves big guys like Vince does.

Edge'll probably get the title back when he comes back. Only reason they gave it to him is to rub it in Matt Hardy's face. So as long as Matt's still with WWE, Edge will have the opportunity.

I guess thats just part of the deal of selling your soul to WWE. I personally think Matt would do pretty good in the X-Division on TNA. You sure as hell don't publicly bad mouth WWE's VP of Talent Relations after getting fired, then go back and expect everything to be the same.

No thats not why, they gave it to Edge because Undertaker got hurt. Matt Hardy has alot more pull now then he used to since he has JBL backing him backstage.

Basically Botchtista is going to win the title again.
