I haven't played 1/2/3/4/5 so seeing footage from those was interesting. 8/9 were both great, seeing them again there in the latest video puts me in the mood to go through them again.

I had that urge when I bought FFXII as well. I bought the collecters edition and watched the History of Final Fantasy, and after that ended up playing those again before even starting on XII.

In Part V near the end of the video, there is a part right after they talk about Ergheiz that shows a few CGI scenes.. I was wondering if anyone knew what they were from. Some look sort of like Advent Children, but I don't remember any scenes like those from the movie, some scenes have Vincent, Yuffie, and Cid together, and it's pretty short.

It might be from the arcade version of Ehrgeiz God Bless the Ring if you don't recognize it from the PS-X version

I've yet to go take a look, but I'm pretty sure what you're talking about is from the Final Fantasy VII PS3 tech demo.

Thanks for linking part 8 in HD! I am glad they dedicated the whole segment to FFXI. ^^v

I really liked how they ended part 8 by saying:

Criticisms were mostly laid upon the persistent grinding needed to ascend through the game's ranks, along with numerous unpredictable elements common to online play. FFXI is also a very unforgiving experience, making you work your tail off for most of the landmarks in each jobs progression. But some would argue that that's what makes its achievements so rewarding when the battle is finally won.

Contributions from the act of population and extensive expansions like the "Wings of the Goddess" insure that Vana'diel would keep growing as long as there were heroes brave enough to protect its lands, and adventurers who were bold enough to seek out its secrets..
