Its been ages since I last saw Akira, but is this video referencing to the part where Tetsuo begins to go crazy? Its about 2/3 into the video.

This guy is still around?

^ he actually makes really good music and personally, I don't like arrogant people but I think he deserves the right to be as arrogant as he wants with all BS he went through. Just my two cents.

Considering he's been producing beats for big name artists for over 5 years let alone his own career he will be around for a long time yet.

Aside from making an *** out of himself on national tv, I'm hard pressed to find reasons not to like him.
One of the few guys out there who isn't rapping about money, women, and thug life. Its a short list but of the highest calibur (Common, Blackstar, Lupe etc etc).

The song is unoriginal (steals from Daft Punk) and the video is unoriginal (steals from Akira). Also much of his last album was stolen from Shirley Bassey. He might be a good producer but his work is as creative as Puff P Diddy Daddy or whatever he's calling himself this week (he stole from Sting and the Police etc etc).
These are all reasons for me personally not to like him. I also think he's riding a the wave of social protest like the Dixie Chicks or Bono. Wether he believes it or not you can cash in on being socially conscious.
If you like him, thats fine, but I wont be impressed until I hear or see something totally new and original from him.

I really like the song but I have always been a fan of West's work. It is very catchy and it doesn't hurt that the video is awesome.
NOTE: I need to get those shades.

He makes good music but he's not as good as he likes to think he is, but thats just me. As to the song and video, I like them both.
If he didn't say what he said Chris Rock would never have said "George Bush hates midgets!"

If you say "Remixed from a popular Daft Punk Song from thier record 'Discovery'." Then, yes, he stole from Daft Punk.
PS: Daft Punk is my favorite band. But seriously, the song wasn't that good.(Kanye variation.)
EDIT: Daft Punk is apparently in the Kanye Video aswell. Interesting.

Truth.
And it's MR. WEST now guys. :naughty:
I've known he was into anime since I saw a special on him a while back, an intervie actually. I've always wondered if he'd incorporate it into his vids...I saw this video on Video Wake-Up on VH1 and was quite pleased.
