Candy Cigarettes were great as were cap guns. These stupid jerkoffs need to find a better way to waste my tax money.

I think we still have capguns here.. But not in like ToyWorld, only in cheap as shops in tiny towns like Cheviot.
As for the candy things making you smoke, I ate them like they were going out of fashion when I was younger, and I don't smoke. So there.

I never got them as a kid...*looks back at her dejected midwestern childhood* but I don't really feel too bad. I guess.

I remember them, but only had a few at various random times. My parents didn't smoke and were against smoking in general. I remember just wolfing it down like a piece of pocky.
I rarely smoke tobacco. I used to smoke it at parties, but I don't even do that anymore. My lungs are reserved exclusively for smoke from a different plant.

I basically just ate them too. SOmetimes I would pretend to just to freak out my parents or other people. I even lit one end on fire for a bit so it looked more realistic.
But I am terribly allergic to smoke, even the so called "special smoke" of other plants.
Causes me to tear up, cough, and become dizzy

They were ok, but I don't smoke. Never did in my 20 years on earth, never will... same with drinking. My parents want to actually spike my drinks, but they cannot without the risk of getting my brothers drunk. :P

wow, your parents want to spike your drink??
Why is it so bad in society to NOT smoke, or like to get totally drunk, and it being good to do drugs?
Society...it makes no sense.

Yes, my mom atleast wants to spike my drinks. No idea about society though. =/
I have a bad habit of drinking out of a soda bottle *No backwash, what I do is I lift the bottle a few inches above my head, and since I been doing it so much, I aim where the soda pours dead on every time*. Appearently, I am glad I do that now. If they want to get my drunk, they have to pour whatever into the whole bottle itself.

I only tried those things once and didn't find them all that great. It's been well over a decade and I still haven't even tried to smoke a real Cigarette yet:P

Obviously if it doesn't contain nicotine, that would be a no.

Candy cigarettes tasted terrible. Now bubblegum cigarettes, those were better. Especially if you blew through the wrapper while it was still on the gum, the powder came out and it looked like smoke. I loved those things.

I had those when I was a kid. I never liked them because they tasted nasty, but I bought them a lot because of the pretty colors, heh...
Too bad I ended up smoking anyways. It's because the cigars actually taste like candy....

Man, I loved candy cigarettes and the bubblegum kind that Jatz was talking about. They only blew out "smoke" once or twice. But I never smoked in my life and never will due to that the smoke stinks and I get chest pains around it.
Well, at least it's not as retarded as the movie industry is now rating movie on the basis of coarse language, sex AND smoking scenes. That's right, if there's enough smoking scenes in a movie, it can give it a higher rating.

I agree with everything said in this post. Maybe its because my parents smoke that I don't smoke.

hmm, I never played with candy cigarettes as a kid. I have pretty much had a life long disgustion to smoking so , pretty much guaranteed I would never smoke.
I remember they also had those fake cigarette things made out of like plastic or metal, used as a prank to freak out parents, I’d see them at flee markets, and small town grocery stores. I think they still sell them in some places too. It’s kind of odd, they were things that you might of seen sold to kids back in the 50-60's but they still sell them now even though they seem to politically incorrect.
As much as smoking disgusts me and turns me off it seems bit ridiculous that there giving movies higher ratings for smoking scenes. Seriously it’s not good to shelter your kids that much, there going to see people smoking on the street, it’s a part of life there going to have to deal with. I think movie censors are going a little too far..

If bubblegum cigarettes didn't get kids to smoke, it wasn't from a lack of trying.
They made the packages look like real cigarette packs. http://www.oldtimecandy.com/bubble-gum-cigarettes.htm

Man, I loved those things! They were some good eats. They tasted like the stick in fun dip (probably the same damn thing, lol). I've never smoked a day in my life. Growing up, I felt it was a cool behavior to emulate, but I never wanted to smoke until I was old enough to buy my own cigs, and by that point, I had no interest whatsoever.

I'm waiting for candy cigarettes to carry huge DEATH warnings on them like our regular cigarette packets do. It's the way the government's going about the "obesity crisis", almost as far as with smoking (which will be banned in pretty much every publically open building in the country from 1st July; pubs, bars, clubs, all the usual places).
WARNING: EATING CONFECTIONARY LEADS TO PREMATURE DEATH
over half the packet... that's what I expect to see soon....
