The Million Dollar Prons

So I have the thirst three doctor who novellas, and I think they're the real deal, first editions, I was wondering if anyone could point me to a price guide, Doctor Who forum, or something that can help me identify if these are the bee's knee's or if I'm just a poser.
The books are black colored, and the pages are yellowed now from age, and at the start of Day of the Daleks they have a list of current Dr. Who novels, and it reads
The Doctor Who series:
1) Doctor Who and the day of the daleks
2) Doctor Who and the doomsday weapon
and more to come.
The information page only lists a first pritning, April 1979, and a copyright for 1979.
So, British Members, Tom Servo, am I l33t?

I did a bit of looking and found this (http://www.personal.leeds.ac.uk/~ecl6nb/OnTarget/1974/day/usa/dayaocov.gif) site. It has info on Doctor Who novels from the first through seventh doctors ,like covers, international editions, etc. You can compare the book to these charts (http://www.personal.leeds.ac.uk/~ecl6nb/OnTarget/1974/day/dayedits.htm) to determine the edition. It didn't describe any editions that were black, but had some listings for blue/navy blue covers.
Does it look something like this?

According to the site this would be a limited print version that was first done in the US in 1978. Hopefully this info is of some use, or maybe someone else knows a bit more.

Oh, I used to read those novels sometimes, when I was still at school. The Doctor Who novels were often just the book form of the TV show. In the older series you were much more likely to have stories that went on for about 6 episodes or something, not like nowadays.
When I read them they were always paperbacks and they were in abundance.

that would be the version I'd have read...
I knew someone who was a huge Dr.Who fan and she said that the books were rare now and sometimes the pricing on them was extraordinary for some volumes, depending on scarcity. So yes, you might well be l33t.
I own a copy of The Dalek Book (http://daleks.sfdaydreams.com/dalekbooks.htm)... it's not in good condition at all, but I always wondered if that was worth something, too...
