Coloring in old photos isn't new, but yeah, they look surprisingly good these days.

It's hard to believe those are really, who ever di them did a good job of coloring the old photos are got all of his buddies together to do a reenactment

My initial impression was that they were colorized photos, but whether they're genuine color prints or not, some of the shots are kind of interesting.

They're pretty cool. Does anyone know how they determine what colors to put in? That is if there is a process

They initially wore red pants, but changed them when they realized that the distinctive color made they easy targets for machine guns. And according to the forum, its possible that the pics were not digitally colored but were Tournassoud colour photos.

That reminds me of a time I saw pics of my dad and his sister as a child, while visiting my gran. I was like... "dad had blue eyes??" and she said "no, the photographer did that... I'm not sure why! He's never had blue eyes!"
Colourised B&W photos must have been cheaper to produce than colour photos even late as the 1950s...!
