Funny, when I entered college I always heard about facebook this and facebook that, so I choose to try and create an account...but then I found out you apparently have to be a rocket scientist to actually get one working under your schools email address. <_<

Fast forward a couple a months, I tried to create another account since a girl I used to talk to was on it with pics (I love these kind of sites. It really brings out the starker in me :P) and this time it was successfully.

All in all, I find it better than Myspace but it's still a bit boring.

All in all, I find it better than Myspace but it's still a bit boring.

It's slowly turning into Myspace, with the addition of music channels and such.

I'm holding out for a while. But I finish school this year, and its a good way to keep in touch with people over distance. No need for timing like msn/aim/skype

I used facebook for only one purpose and that was to get contact info from a friend who I hadn't talked to in a while. I'm just collecting friends/ group requests/ invitations since I haven't logged in since last year. People in school stay on that s*** though, I guess they have to have a social life of some sort...

I've noticed that.

Once it starts getting mainstream like Myspace, so long facebook.

Facebook makes life much easier for stalkers. :P

I have one, but for sake of my college campus. I don't add many people, and have like...8 friends.

I only use it to keep in touch with cousins on the east coast. I can't imagine how someone could be "addicted" to it, anyway.

lol i was addicted to it like 2 years ago when it was just for college kids, no every one and their grandma is on it, and its become way too cluttered

I have facebook, but it lost its charm in the first week or so. It's pointless when I could just talk to my friends on the phone or in real life. And most of the people on my buddy list are people from my high school who I could give a **** less about . It's better than MySpace though....MS is too unorganized and cluttered.

I don't log on to either of them very much. I have no reason to.

It's a good way to procrastinate while writing a last-minute paper in college and to keep uo with friends' birthdays. Apart from the occasional amusing group created, it's lost a lot of its initial intrigue.

Who's on it ?

It is BEYOND addictive. I have reconnected with so many people from the past- not to mention it helps me keep up with my current friends.

Much better than myspace, but I use niether. I have a myspace, but haven't been on in months. Never cared to make a facebook, even though everyone I know migrated over to it.

I was originally against joining for months...
thought it was some scam, some stupid site etc so always ignored the emails I got from friends, until a certain couple of friends joined, and I thought it might not be as bad as I thought, so I gave it a shot, and yeah, found it a little addictive... boring but addictive...

I find facebook merely useful, and visit it when something interesting is e-mailed to me. Nothing more, normally.
It's AN and deviantArt that I'm addicted to...=P

So kinda like Diablo 2, except the people who still use it can speak English.

It's an interesting thing, helped me reconnect with a lot of friends I haven't heard from since I graduated high school back in '05.

Problem is facebook has too many buttons, programs, bells, and whistles...as established as my page is it's an effing headache to sift through. I'll stick with myspace thanks.

I have an account, but haven't been logged in for awhile now. I use it mostly to keep in touch with classmates, that's about it though.

The only place I'm addicted to online is here; AN is great.

I'm on it purely for the fact that I can communicate with people at any time of the day...though I do check it daily.

1. Go into AN profile.
2. Initiate stalking by seaching for e-mail address, aim, etc.
3. ???
4. PROFIT.

Stuff it :P

Let's all just get our friend count up by adding AN people to our facebook profiles, even though we may NOT really know them! LOL

No need for timing like msn/aim/skype

I totally hear you on that. I haven't used AIM and MSN as frequently as I have prior to the days of social networking websites like MySpace and now Facebook.

I started Facebook near the end of college last year. Then, after acquiring a bunch of classmates that I never bothered talking to and a bunch of other strangers for no reason whatsoever, I quit. I just find it pointless, as I do with other community network sites of that nature. Too bad you can't delete your account. I hate how the only option they give you is deactivation.

I have one to keep in touch with the guys/gals in my church's youth group. I repeatedly get invites to random groups or weird apps and I usually decline every one of them. I added Superwall a month ago and I kind of regret it, as it just adds clutter.

Facebook is just a bit too feature filled for me. Its confusing if you just want a simple way to contact people.

You don't have to install any apps, and you can hit the "i don't like this" x button to keep things like pirate and ninja attacks from sending to you again (i think, tho i haven't tried that).

Whoa, I didn't know that! It's a bit annoying getting all the freaking "you've been bitten" crap that my friends want me to install.

I actually liked facebook better when it was just for college/uni students. I hardly talk to anyone on mine, maybe a little if any. I mostly use it to see how people I used to go to school with or whatnot are doing.

I just use it to contact friends and crap as I hate to talk over the phone.

I was against Facebook for such a long time, thought it was a stupid thing... then a certain friend joined and sent me a request. It's another way to talk to my relatives and friends.

The last time I wrote that, I didn't have many. Seems like I have over 70 now. I have a lot of campus people gunning to get my attention. What can I do?

Give them attention.
