But in this is one case I can't help myself.

Sounds like her "medical problem" was concocted by her personal psychiatrist to get her out of Jail. Luckily for the law, this judge was not buying it.

That is pretty funny. I'm sorry, but house arrest for a DUI is not punishment. If I was a celebrity I'd take sitting in my huge mansion watching a big screen TV while sipping cocktails for my punishment too!

MaliceDR
June 9th, 2007, 10:13 PM
Um, it's not just a DUI.

In this order: DUI, reckless driving with a suspended license, driving 70 in a 35 on a suspended license, and failing to enrole in a court-ordered alcohol education program.

45 days is hardly enough. I say she should get a room mate.

(Regarding Paris's return to jail.)
Some witnesses say they saw a rainbow above the courtroom. And others say they saw a giant man in the clouds with a white beard nodding his head approvingly. And me? Well I saw Judge Michael Sauer grow to be twelve feet tall, with muscles the size of tree trunks. And when he smiled, little cartoon hearts appeared above my head and there was a strange tingling sensation in my pants.

She is NOT above the law. It's not fair that she should get away with things that regular people do not get away with.

Sure, it might be wrong to laugh at other peoples' misfortunes - but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

Regarding Paris, I think sentencing her to serve her sentence at home (with the bracelet) is akin to grounding a ten year old and sending him to his room, where he's got a PS3, computer, internet access and private phone line. I can't say I find sending her serve her prison sentence in an actual prison to be that unfair.

Its good to see we have at least some peaple in our legal system who won't let these rich basterds off scot free. (lets find some more of them and have another OJ trial.)

Meh, she's white and rich. Her prison sentence stay won't be that bad. For her 5-day stay prior to being released to house arrest, she got an entire cell to herself.

No prison is hard enough to make an inmate stay with paris hilton..... not even death row inmates.

Yeah, they'd be begging to be put to death after spending a few days in a small square with her.

Celebrities get it too f***ing easy. this country has a bad case of celebrity worship. why else would they aquit so many celebrities of crimes they obviously commited? hell when MJ was found not guilty, all the newscasters where flipping out because of that fact in disbelief that people are that stupid. some judge needs to say something to the press telling people to wake their a$$es up and treat them correctly.

hell i think the fact that rappers get away with so much crap is because the jury is afraid that gansters are gonna kill them for it.

No, Paris went to jail because she violated her probation. In the many rules of her probation is not to drive. Surprise, surprise. For someone who violated their probation, 45 days is pretty light.

Aw poor thing..lol
I enjoy watching the simple life, but I like the other one more. They're both pretty stuck up though.

My dad said that anyone else would get ten days for that, and I find it hard to believe.

I think she's been let off with this a few times already and this was the last straw, so if you add it all up the times she was let off with it and.....you get the picture.

Here's something funny I heard on the radio today. She said that she's not going to eat or drink because she doesn't want any pictures taken of her using the bathroom. Man, that's the least of her problems.

But cells arent that small...and she gets one to herself....And I bet she is still refusing to eat.
Legitimate medical claim? NO
If i was in jail and claimed that, I would be told to deal with it.

You mean to say that she's stupid? Or is stupid a code word for plastic surgery or sex? I'm confused...

She is stupid, you know. I mean that can't just all be an act. Jessica Simpson...I can believe that she's an act. But not Paris Hilton.
