Naruto Shippuden episode 17

This episode isn't really worth talking about too much, basically Akatsuki finished sealing the Bijou inside Gaara and Chiyo finds out that Naruto has the 9 tails inside of him.

Thats it, boring, and next episode seems to be completely dedicated to breaking the seal so why don't you just kill me.

i was really disappointed ive been waiting for this episode and all they did was show flash backs and it took them the whole episode to get to akatsuki's hideout. i thought that maybe i would see some of the other akatsuki members fight. but i gotta say im still looking forward to the next episode hopefully some fighting and i hope to god it doesn't take them the whole episode to break in the hideout.

poor episode, especially with the gaara thing where he doesnt know his hands then asks loads of random questions. But we have another 2 weeks till the next episode now, it airs in japan on the 21st

Good grief. We get good annimation and music, it happens like just it does in the manga (minus the Temari stuff) and people still complain. Don't blame the animation staff, blame Kishi for his poor transitions through this arc. You're gonna have nothing but battles for 5 episodes so just hibernate til then.

Plus all of this is crucrial for the events that happen after Gaara's death. Just watch and learn.

spoilers regarding Akatsuki members
is it just me, or are they sorta steering the akatsuki scenes towards manga readers? Hidan and Kakuzu are shown with enough detail to distinguish them, while the lady with the flower on her head is not even shown and has no lines. They had to give AL lines cuz, well, he's the leader, but other than that, they have shown all members that manga readers know of.

You could make those faces out from the manga images as well, the AL always has had lines in the manga too.
In hindsight we think its a lot easier to tell.

It was a good episode. I liked Gara's dream and the flashbacks. The next episode is not looking that good.

I too am a fan of the episode.

I really like Chiyo & Kakashi's talk about Naruto & Gaara's relationship. The background music in the scene was great.

The episode seemed to be better animated then some recent episodes too. Most noticably when Naruto woke up from sleeping.

There was a line at the end of 17 that said 18 wouldn't air until the 21st.
