i am fully aware of the marmite nature of final fantasy viii, just to be clear i love it, well it seems to me it's really the only final fantasy that hasnt recieved any extra attention, well apart from ix but that was just such a throwback to the older games, a brilliant throwback but still it just seemed like square were just doing an old styled final fantasy so they can move onto the more mature style of character design established in viii, well anyway it does seem viii is the only one not receiving any attention, practically all the older games have been remade for handhelds, over and over mind you, vii got that whole bleeding compilation, x got x-2, xi got the add-ons and even the that lastest one xii has a sequel in the works, so i ask square-enix WHAT ABOUT FINAL FANTASY VIII?

What add-ons did FFIX get? I remember there just being one release for it. And as for VIII not recieving any attention: The game really could have used a revision. The game was flawed to hell and back. Triple Triad was the only reason why I even play VIII all the way through. The game had a solid storyline until the whole time travel stuff.

FFV, and VI have got no add ons or remakes either... I thought. EDIT: Wait. Ports for the GBA?

Though I agree. The world need more FF8 love. As it was my personal favorite.

yes they were ports but they did have added content and i can imagine they will be remade for ds after all they are remaking iv now so who says they'll stop there, i just want more final fantasy viii

Though I dislike the game. I do think a remake on any console would be very nice for VIII. I personally think it's the FF that could use a remake the most.

I liked VIII as well, except near the end which just suddenly got out of whack. There wasn't really an explination why that witch was doing what she wanted and her appearance was kind of sudden, though there were hints.
