Wait a minute...the RahX is a super Dolem, isn't it?

No, it's not. It's a very different thing. The angels and the Evas are closely related, but not so with the dolem and the RahXephon. The Vermillions, however, are dolem with coverings - like the Evas and other biologicals.

What is the RahX if it isn't a Dolem? Is it organic?

I don't have access to the "official" informaton about it. I have the Analysis Phase RahXephon bible, but that only has information from the first 19 episodes. I also own the RahXephon complete book, but I know little Japanese, and I haven't read the novels, so the following is based on my watching of the anime as well as the Analysis Phase book:
The RahXephon was made with Mu techonology, and designed by the same person, and is connected to music, but apart from that it is different fromt the dolems.

I think of the RahXephon more in the tradition of a soulful robot than clay monsters like Dolem or human-like beings like the Evas.

But what the RahXephon is authoratively called

I also found the artist for that Sayoko image that was used in the "pimping". He calls himself "nishiman" or "nisiman".
