I am not sure if this is the right place for this thread but I will give it a shot anyway. Does any of you love to listen to Korean songs? There is this song that I am looking for but I couldn't find till now and it is called "A Farewell in Paradise" by Tri-Be. Since I am not familiar with Korean artists and bands, this is the first time that I hear of Tri-Be. Did any of you hear of this song? If so, do you have any idea where to get it? Your help is much appreciated.

To me, most Korean music is the same, lovey boyband stuff that I cannot stand. On a rare occasion, I will find something in Korea I like musically. My favorite Korean group is "Koyote". They do pretty well on their music and everything, and I think Shin Ji is pretty cute too.
Other random songs I have liked were:
FinKL's "Now"
Jang Yun Jung's "Oh my god!"
Hyori Lee's "Anymotion"
And yea, that is just about it. No mean to offend anyone, but Korea is just not one of the countries for musical talent.
Also, you should know requesting music is against ToS, FYI.

I can't honestly say that I enjoy much Korean music. The only Kpop artists I really listen to are ones that seem to do more Jpop than Kpop, and those all being female (ie BoA). I can't say I have a lot of exposure to Korean music, but I know I didn't much like most of what I HAVE heard (especially the boy bands).

I stumbled upon a band called Loveholic a while ago and fell in love. There are maybe 45 Loveholic songs that I really like.
Also, my favorite handheld game ever is DJ Max Portable 2, which is a Korean music game. A lot of the music is in English, but there are quite a few Korean songs as well. I love them, but it sucks not understanding a single word.

I love Korean music. I'm actually a little picky with it, because as Yukito Kunisaki said, a lot of it is the same types of sugary, lovey-dovey boyband type stuff. Though, I actually don't mind that kind of music, just not in large quantities. However, in my searches, I've found some very awesome songs.
I've heard one song by Koyote and liked it, but haven't found anymore.
Some of my favorite Korean artists would be Lee Jun Ki (only has one tiny album out to my knowledge, but it's amazing), Kim Jong Kook, and SG WannaBe.
I also like a few from Bi Eternal Rain, Evan, and Moon Hee Jun.
I also LOVE this song from the Korean drama Winter Sonata. It's one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard in my entire life.

Do you know what one that one was? Most of their songs I have heard were in videos. The first time I saw them was on Revolution a while back with one that was in South Park animation in a way called "Walking Slow". I like them because they are pretty upbeat on some of their songs. The sequel to that walking slow video...tearful. It made me sad, haha.
Also, I think the song grew off of me but Here is the video to "Oh My God!" for any interested. I thought it was hilarious the first time watching it. Honestly nothing I would expect in a Korean video, comedy and shear randomness. (I think the crossdresser was jealous of her o.o, and those two guys getting water splashed on them by that guy...haha, great. :P)

Unfortunately, I don't know the name. I downloaded it a while back, and the file was named "Koyote" with no other title.

But you will admit that Colbert is better right?
They are two completely different people with different carees, so I couldn't say.
1) Who's a better singer?
Rain
2) Who's funnier?
Colbert
3) Who's hotter?
Colbert (Hyuk hyuk)
4) Who's famous-er? I mean, more famous.
America = Colbert, Korea = Rain
You see? You really can't compare the two.
Although, seeing that I can watch Colbert everyday on television, I'd say that I prefer him.
End of post.

But did you not hear "Singin' in Korean"?
Dr.Ezra, my feelings for you can only be expressed in Korean.

Loveholic is awesome! I love the vocal's voice. This band is acknowledged as a pretty artistic one here.

Err, The songs you posted are actually the fluffy feely-good kinda music.
I think there are actually a lot of talented people. (okay okay I'm Korean I could be biased but just by your post the scope on Korean music looks narrow -_-; )You should check out Hee-sung, Lee Juk, yangpa, Loveholic, Rollercoaster, Yun do hyun, Yoonha, SGWannabe, Flytothesky and others.

Well, I looked Tri-be up and tada~!
I guess this group is famous for the song you wrote-"A Farewell in Paradise".
It was the theme song for the drama 'loveletter'.
But I think err;; this group isn't seen now..which means maybe it failed to make a big impression. I have no idea what the team is doing now.
But I think I could download the mp3. PM me~^_^

I HAVE heard Flytothesky because, did not like them. If any others have had a video on Revolution way back when, or any music show on AZNTV, There is a chance I saw it before. I only listed the ones that caught my attention for some reason or another. :S
Youhna, I know she is Korean, but I love her Japanese music. She does an outstanding swing to songs. I left her out because I think of her more with the Japanese, even though I know her ethnicy.

WHEESUNG is awesome how could I forget. Oh and I also really like Clazziquai Project, which I don't think got mentioned in this thread. Ah you didn't mention Rain or Stephen Colbert, Tsuki... okay that last one is still carrying on with the earlier joke. Although I hear that sketch didn't get a good reception in Korea, know anything about that tsuki?

Here are a couple of Loveholic PVs for songs I like (youtube links):
Want you hear - Loveholic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zgcp8LvxCwk) (yes it's supposed to be "hear" not "here")
Silvia - Loveholic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLTzTB_2758) (Whenever I hear this song I think of the Sarah McLachlan song "Adia")
Re-wind - Loveholic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPll94MgMQ0) (wow this is a really cool video :))

Anyway I think its kinda funny that no one mentioned any BoA songs. I like the Korean version of Everlasting (though Japanese version is still better). Oh and Sara and No.1 are good too.

Clazziquai is good~ Loved the ost for My name is Kim Sam Soon. :)
Oh...the Rain parody. -_-; I saw it myself but it's not like I'm really offended or anything. But I found out that some fans of Rain did take it as an insult.

Don't mean to hate on Rain but he looks like a generic K-drama star. I know he's been in a couple (Full house was awesome) but still I see dudes that look like him in a lot of dramas. Okay maybe I just can't tell Korean men apart.

Epik High is the best one there, but I think I'm the only person I know that doesn't care too much for YG Family compilations. I like 1TYM and Jinusean though.

Oh, I'm definitely a fan of JS. I first got into YG from Jinusean and 1TYM (Bing Bing Bing/A-Yo and Hot Ddeuga for each). I now have all of their CDs, along with Perry and the YG compilations. You have to admit, YG does make good mixes, even though, like most Korean artists, they sometimes lip sync for live performances.

Well actually Rain is kinda looked upon as a not typical Korean entertainer. You now his eyes are err; kinda small which isn't the greatest thing for a celeb. He actually confessed that he considered getting plastic surgery to make his eyes look bigger cuz other entertainers had big eyes.

His eyes are pretty small come to think of it. But its respectable that he didn't get the plastic surgery.
Ah more Korean singers I like, well I completely forgot that K sings in Korean. he has a couple of songs I like in Korean.
