I've noticed that other networks are jumping on the hero themed bandwagon ^_^

Interesting finale, it just left me wanting more. I'm glad Hiro was in fact the one to put em down, but then again I kinda anticipated that Sylar would survive from what the end suggested. Anyway I can't wait for the next. Between Smallville and Heroes I've been treated to two pretty good finales this season.

my review:
My review:

As it stands Peter has never used 2 or more powers that he has absorbed at the same instance, he can use them consecutively but he can never use them all at once. This was gathered from him not flying away into the sky himself.

The fight was okay, it could of been way better. I feel kind of cheated. The obvious best part was when Nathan flew down, and said its time to save the world.

We still don't know if/what Mrs. Petrilli's powers are.

I believe the Kensei is Hiros relative.

I am very interested in this guy that can see Molley. Probably an obvious super psychic.

Whatever is with the bugs I don't know, whether syler crawled down the drain himself, or someone dragged him.

So how did the cheerleader save the world? I have a few theories:

Either it was literal, Save the cheerleader and save the world (2 separate statements) or by rescuing Claire she was then able to yell at Nathan about how he could do that to his brother and jump out the window and then you see Nathan give this look which could of changed his mind.

Peter may very much still be alive. I really don't see him not being in the second season.

Excellent season and I'm probably going to pre-order season 1 right away.

Yeah, saving Claire led to Nathan having that change of heart, but the whole point was to not let Sylar gain her abilities so they could stop him.

Nathan probably did survive if you think about it. Peter could have TK'ed him out of the way just in time before he went off.

Best part = Call me Noah. Bennet is a beast.

After watching the season finale last night with high expectations, I'm left quite unimpressed that they copped out and took the usual route of adding new villains and leaving obvious loose ends for the second season.

Peter is still alive. If you remember in the alternate future, Peter says he exploded and he's still alive. That and his mother says, "Thanks to you (Claire) he'll survive."

I thought that was awesome! It is kinda sad to see Nathan go, but the fight that Nikki, Hiro, and Peter put up against Sylar was way to cool to be disappointed in anything else. I also can't wait to see Hiro interact with Kensei in the past.

i agree with you. I love heroes and am in love with the actress hayden. The one that plays clair.

My cousin worked with her on an independent film that was directed by Kevin Spacey (called "Mr. Gibb" if I remember correctly; you won't find it on wikipedia). She says Hayden's a ***** and a half, so she's always rooting for her to die (and was very pleased when that happened in the future)

Or you could look at it like this: If Sylar had killed her, then he would've taken her healing factor and would've been almost completely invincible. I think this is the most likely reason.

Mooserocka
May 22nd, 2007, 02:15 PM
that was a completely differnt future. and save the cheerleader save the world wow you are all so far off. If they didnt save clare syler would have her healing powers and be invincible. thats why the world was saved not the theorys you came up with. it ended really good though. I want season 2

I sort-of enjoy it, I must admit, but it's not a very good show..

I can respect it trying to weave in comic-book style cliches, since it's clearly a show born out of love for comic book heroes, but the way that it simultaneously has realistic elements and expects us to actually care for the cliched characters is problematic. Additionally, it's simply not that good at emulating the satisfying nature of the comic book plots it tries to imitate. As suspect a critique as the following may sound, it's true. Future Hiro isn't 1/2 as "cool" as Future Trunks (nor have we seen a fight scene as satisfying as a DBZ one). The mutant cast as a whole is not as likable or intriguing as the X-Men. Bennett is no Agent Smith.

The show's claim to fame is the "intelligent" manner in which it treats the subject of evolution and the way in which it hints at evolution's ties with traditional philosophical questions about the meaning of life and all that good stuff..
But this "intelligence" consists of long, semi-preachy monologues about the subject that bring no original thought to the topic and mostly repeat cliches that the viewer was well-acquainted with.

Truly empathetic character development (with an addicting, if flawed, plot) in live action super hero series and movies is, in my mind, only to be found in Kamen Rider 555, a show which faded away into obscurity and whose main triumph (the "hyperlink (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperlink_cinema)" plot) has not been pulled off successfully in any other show or movie, be it Heroes, Traffic, or Babel. It's a shame that these high-budget, highly-publicized shows can't live up to a standard set by an obscure entry into a cheap children's franchise in Japan.

Hereos was awesome! I think they could do a prequel like season with the old "Heros" (Linderman, Mrs. Pettrelli, old black dude, ect. + the start of the Paper Company).

I don't think this show is running for Jesus. You're overanalyzing it a BIT too much. It's a good show. As a reader of comic books, I couldn't ask for a better show. Even if it does have it's bad episodes, it's still a good show. It just doesn't have that entertainment factor when it comes to an action series like 24.

And the show wasn't really looking for a DBZ-esque kind of fights. You may think the show is high budget, but it really isn't. It's still a tight one whichever way you look at it.

The problem with this show is that it tries to cram in too many characters into a 40 minute show. Oh, and if you think the Xmen cast of characters is likable, you're sorely mistaken. You can pick out 3 good Xmen in a flash out of 20. So if anything, they're pretty equal.

Yeah the obvious explanation is that Syler did not get Claire's powers, I was trying to see if their was a second.

Yeah, you might wanna put some ice on that. It hurts trying to sound smart, right?

Good Guys:

Professor X
Cyclops
Beast
Jean Grey
Wolverine
Storm
Colossus
Shadowcat
Rogue
Gambit

Villains:

Magneto
Mystique

A few others here and there that are less noteworthy but still fun..

The Heroes cast will be forgotten when the show ends, although I admit that it's partly because they lack fancy costumes.

Out of curiosity, have you seen Kamen Rider 555? I sometimes think that I'm imagining its accomplishments, but Magician Camille and Prons, at the least, have accented my praise of it..

If I ever become rich somehow, I'm using all my money to distribute and promote Kamen Rider 555 and fund quality spin-off products. :P

Well, actually, didn't their rights to the Sentai shows go to Disney? I do believe, though, that the Kamen Rider franchise wasn't included among those, as "The Wang Brothers" under the banner of "Adness Entertainment" are working on the "Kamen Rider Dragon Knight" Americanization of Kamen Rider Ryuki and had to negotiate directly with Toei for the rights.

Well, actually, didn't their rights to the Sentai shows go to Disney? Nope. Disney didn't want to deal with Toei anymore.

This is correct. Haim Saban and TPG Capital Group hold the rights to Kamen Rider in the U.S., not Toei nor Disney as has been stated incorrectly throughout the internet. This is one of the reasons Toei Japan setup a proxy office in the US so that the above situation never happens again.

No need for me to sound smart Claire's role was stated quite clearly in more than one episode, but when Nathan said it, that led me to believe there was more too it.
