OVERTIME in the Cavs-Pistons game!!! I REALLY don't want the Pistons to win nothin' now. Last thing I want is a Spurs-Pistons Final.
Nike doesn't EVER caption their commercials.. Anybody care to post what LeBron/Grandpa LeBron said in that ad?
GO CAVS!!!

48 Points, 9 Rebounds & 7 Assists, Lebrons a beast.

Witness! Witness! :w00t: Must win at Cleveland.
48 Baby, count em. Those 2 OT's Bron evolved into something else. Knocking 3's, drawing fouls, fade away after fade away, that drive in lay up in 2nd OT. Game 6 is looking mighty good.

Indeed. Critics of games 1, 2, and those who said he can't close are going to have to bite their tongue. He was hitting shots to tie, shots for the lead, and a huge game winner.

A lot of people on other sites were trashing Lebrons first 2 games in this series, comparing it to Wades amazing series against the Pistons last year. He clinches the next game and all is forgotten.... Cavs should've won every game this series anyway really :\

Good game, and the first NBA game I've really watched in years, I hope the Cavs can finish the Pistons off in game 6.

If the Cavs do indeed make it to the finals... they beat the Spurs both times they met in the regular season.

Duncan kinda sleeps during the regular season though, I can't see a focused Duncan who wants his 4th ring being stopped by the Cavs.

True, the Spurs didn't turn it up until post all star break.

^Thats the amazing thing, wether he wins or not. The length of time it took him to get there. I think that would be one thing that'll set him apart from Jordan.
Yeah the Spurs are probably licking their chops at the idea of the Cavs being their opponents. As much credit as I give Bron he lacks the supporting cast to go up against that well oiled machine. He'd have to do what he did tonight for 4 games.

To be fair to Jordan, Isiah's Pistons and Bird's Celtics from his early days were much better teams than any in the East atm.

But isn't that what Pistons fans were thinking going into this series?

Wow, that was one heck of a game. James was just incredible in scoring 25 consecutive points. I think there's gonna be a lot of tired guys in game 6 after this one particularly Detroit's starters. Hopefully, the King will be well rested enough to burn the Pistons again on Saturday.

But isn't that what Pistons fans were thinking going into this series? Not entirely, surely they couldn't have forgotten last year which was played out similar. Bron being a better closer the difference maker. I'm not saying its impossible, but the Spurs are not known for droppping games and/or losing momentum like the Pistons are infamous for. Their making alot less mistakes right now. I'm rooting for Bron regardless, I just think the Spurs are going to be tougher.

I agree. The Spurs were the best team post all star break.
I wonder if last night's performance instilled even the slightest amount of fear in them if they were to face Cleveland in the finals.
I can't disagree with statements claiming that after that one game Bron has added the element of intimidation. The type that MJ and Shaq brought upon their opponents all through the 90's.

It was already crumbling but once Sheed left that was jenga.
Not just Gibson, I'm glad when Bron was getting triple and even quadruple teamed his boys came through.
Cavs, welcome to the Finals. Lets see if they can give Spurs a run.

Its definitely in favor of SA, definitely.
But we've seen weirder things.
Detroit taking out team Hall of Fame.
Warriors dismantling the MVP and the team who had the sixth best record of all time.

Its getting up there again though. The last 5 years we've seen an incredible surge in talent.
The 03' draft class imo was second only to the 96 and on par or better than the 84'.
03 = LeBron, Melo, Bosh, Wade, Josh Howard, Hinrich, Barbosa
Then factor in Amare Stoudemire, Arenas, Dwight Howard, Deng, Deron Williams, Chris Paul, and the upcoming Durant and Oden. The league is getting real good again.
All while players like Tmac, Yao, Kobe, Vince, Nash, Iverson, Duncan, Dirk, Allen, and Kidd are in their prime or still have a few good years left on them.

Half of Team Hall of Fame were barely capable of running and the other half hated each other. The Warriors were tailored to smash the Mavs.
Cleaveland is very similar to SA except their superstar plays in a different position. You also aren't going to see Duncan throw his jersey into a locker, hit a teammate by accident and get ejected.
I'll love to see Lebron win a ring.... just imagine if Boozer had stayed...

Tmac and Yao are now under the Adelman system which could be interesting.
The one thing I like about now as to the 90's is that there are no solid dynasties, I just find it more fun & unpredictable. With the west gobbling up talent competion is just always fierce. Surprised the East has been able to snatch a few in recent years.

The Cavs were outbid by the Jazz, weren't they? Free agents usually go to the team that can offer them the biggest contract. Team loyalty is a thing of the past these days. Although SA and the Lakers have represented the West for 8 of the last 9 years, don't forget Chicago with MJ was the dominating force during the 90's.

June 4th, 2007, 03:37 AM
Well Boozer wanted more money than the Cavs would offer him, as I understand it the Cavs had room in the cap to match the Jazz offer but they retardly decided not to.
Probably going to cost the Cavs and Boozer 3-4 rings over the next decade.

^Could be, I wouldn't know. I don't think that the half-court offense the Spurs play to perfection is boring but I want to see another city win an NBA title. Cavs gotta win game 2 to have any chance at winning this series.

Its not just SA, South Texas in general are Spurs fans too. Anywhere North of Austin, well, that's another story. People should appreciate what the Spurs do for basketball. Even though a lot of people say that our style is boring, it's very effective and it's great for basketball purists. I doubt Cavs have a chance to win game 2, but they do have a higher chance of winning in game 3 since they're going back home. I'm looking for the Spurs to take it in 5 or 6 games!! ^_^
