PANCAKES. PAAAANCAKKESSS.

Although Denny's is open all the time. REAL college parties are held at Denny's at 3am.

Denny's is good because everything on the menu has a picture, so no matter how hungover you are, you can point and signal your way through the order. Other than that, I would have to go with an IHOP as my experience shows them to be of slightly higher quality food and locations.

Waffle House is the Ideon of breakfast diners.

Genius on Viacomm's part?

What, suing Google Video/YouTube for copyright violations? Did they make a deal with them for ad supported content? Some more details, please.

I choose IHOP. They have (had?) one in Harlem, 'nuff said.

Hebrew National. Most hotdogs literally make me sick to my stomach, but I absolutely love HN's beef franks.

As for the real conversation topic*, I'll have to go with Perkins over IHOP and Awful House. The first IHOP at which I ate had no peanut butter for my pancakes - this is an automatic failure, even though they almost redeemed themselves once I had their blueberry crepes. As for Awful House, their food was edible, but the fact that our waitress nearly made me spill my coffee when she screamed our order (from our table!) to the kitchen makes me never want to go back. I don't want to hear people scream about eggs and bacon at six in the morning; I want them to bring them quietly, and without comment.

Perkins brings you a carafe of strong coffee by default. They bring you more as you finish them. I love Perkins.

I'm speculative to say this might be a regional thing. I used to work at one in high school and I very rarely heard people request peanut butter for pancakes. But, some of my co-workers would occasionally eat it, especially once the high protein diet fads kicked in. For all I know, it's just something limited to you Northeasterners like not pronuouncing 'r's or whatever.

But, being originally from the Great Lakes region, I also grew up with corn syrup right next to the maple for pancake mornings as a kid. Damn, I want pancakes and corn syrup now.

At last you find the food edible. The screaming orders things - I can see your annoyance, but at the same time, you get used to it. I guess because I've spent many a bored, sobering, happy or depressed night in those places I've grown attached to them.

Sounds good; I think I've only eaten at one and that was some stop on the Interstate in Tennessee, I think.

Sometimes I think it's nice that I can find at least one WaHo (our conventional name for it) on practically any Interstate exit, but when it comes to a place like Perkins or some other semi-national restaurant I have to leave the State for, it'd also be nice to have a little variety.

Hmm...I thought all you news peoples in here would already know.

Viacomm is suing Google because of YouTube. I'm gonna take a stab in the dark and figure you'll know why they're suing YouTube owners?

Posting in epic thread :)

Dude seriously I love IHOP and always thought Denny's was simply mediocre. I think it may have to do with the concept of breakfast all day. Not saying Denny's doesn't do the same thing, it's just not what they're all about. So I say

IHOP > Denny's

Old news is old. Google owns YouTube, therefore they are ultimately responsible for content that is put up there (not to mention that Google Video searches can link to YouTube and GVideo has listed copyright material in the past as well).

But why did they wait till Google owned youtube? Youtube was big even before google owned them, and Viacom didn't bother doing anything about it then.

I thought they started with C&Ds before the GooTube merger and refusal to comply lead to the lawsuit.

GooTube either sounds like a sex toy, or a euphemism for the male organ.

Because google gots $$$. Youtube might've been big before the acquisition, but their pockets weren't as deep. If you're gonna sue someone, wouldn't you rather sue someone rich enough to settle for a large sum of money?
