Looks nice. Graphics look kind of Mana-ish.

If it's actually a direct sequel to FFTA, I could stand to skip it. The story for FFTA was the lamest piece of crap that Square have ever churned out. Worse than FFX by a long chalk. The gameplay I thought was OK. Just OK mind, not great.

I could care less as long as they fix the whole thing with judges...

Yeah, the judge system did suck extra-super-hard.

Judge system was annoying, and had one very big hole I hated (awarded only one Judge Point regardless of what you do; ie, kill enemy by fire when fire is encouraged and you only get one JP instead of two, really irritated me).
But I'll buy this. I thought the story was horrendous, but hey, it was amusing while it lasted. Trite stuff like that makes for a decent pick up and play game.

From what I can tell, it looks like they went with the same crappy spritework as the first game. On the DS, they could do better. DS is capable of N64 graphics, they should polish up the sprites to match that capacity. That big cockatrice looks nice, but the regular characters still look washed-out and dumbed-down. It's not so bad for GBA graphics, but they can do better on the DS.

DS is capable of better than N64 2D. Besides, FFTA's graphics aren't even remotely close to the best the GBA could do, too.

I just hope the art for the classes isn't as ****ing ridiculous as Luso's.
Matsuno's games have always had incredible, but simple, character design. Figures that's one of the first great qualities they destroy when he's gone.
Adel doesn't have nearly as much going on in her clothes as Luso, but it does still seem just a little too "busy." God I hope we get full control of both characters and I can choose to only field Adel.

I don't care how the game looks as long as its good. I love turn base strategy games

Camel toe alert....
I'm getting it regardless, But I really hope they change the story and I'm with ShadowCast. I for one can appreciate the anime 2D sprite look, But jeez man, It gets tiring after 100+ hours of gameplay.

Unless she has one horribly misaligned vagina, there is no camel toe.

I will buy it as well. I lost track of how many hours I played the original. I used to play it all the time at work. Boss used to get mad because I would forget to log back in to take calls.

No kidding. When I first saw the knight from FFT, I was blown away. Yeah, it's a blonde dude in the same colored shirt, pants, and cape...but it looked GOOD. I expect the sprite quality to be at least equivalent to the original FFT, if not better. (i.e. Mario Kart Sprite quality)
As for the "bad" graphics of FFTA, I didn't have a problem with that, I assumed they dumbed them down for the environments, and other such things. I miss being able to rotate the map, too. I hope they bring that back in FFTA2.

I think it looks great. I also loved FFTA, even though many people blast it. So I will definitely be getting this.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you didn't even look at the image-- the big yellow DS should have answered your question. That's if there was any real question about it in the first place.

Further, there are no more GBA games going to be made. Final Fantasy 6 was the final nail in the GBA coffin.

Actually, it's TMNT. But it's a good nail.

No I had my fill of every freaking varient of Cocatrice in FF XII. Why not pay money for some new designs.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Seriously though, I thought Squeenix would be above making a monster, and then giving it a different color and calling it a different monster. That was okay in the 16-bit and earlier eras, when space was limited, so a color palatte change would be tolerable.
In the 128-bit (and beyond) days, there's simply no excuse for that kind of garbage. Yes, there are only so many ways to draw a dragon, and I can understand making ice dragons blue, and fire dragons red (or maybe having only ONE type of dragon?!) But I agree, they need to drop some cash on some new enemy designs, and knock it off with the "same monster, different color" crap.
