If at some point there was a CD that featured instrumental "Easy Listening" versions of your favorite anime songs (you know, with the strings and the pianos, and all that stuff), would you buy it?
Me? Personally, I'd consider it...

I'd definitely be interested, yes.

Oh yes, definitely. In fact, I frequently hear background music and things like that which is often arranged or otherwise keyboard-sounding, and I think about how much better it would be if it were orchestrated.

I think I should be more specific. I'm talking about something like for instance, a version of "Makafushigi Adventure" (original Dragon Ball theme), or Moonlight Densetsu (original Sailor Moon theme), or any other "vocal" song from an anime that's instrumental with the main melody being performed slowly by strings, or pianos, or soft acoustic guitars, or the like. I'm asking if you would by this kind of "Easy Listening" anime CD.
...or was I already being specific before?

You should take a listen to this (http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PICA-1243) Animage CD; it's kind of what you're looking for.
(well, it's gentle, peaceful arrangements, though 3 tracks have vocals...)
EDIT: There's also stuff like Ultraman Jazz (http://www.godzillamonstermusic.com/TOCJ66104.htm), but I've never located a copy to listen to, personally. -_-;

I love piano and strings instrumental music, so I'd be interested.

Yes I would definitely be interested. In fact in anime, I would actually prefer instrumental themes. (Which may be why I like listening to SRW OSTs)

I listen to instrumental versions of songs a lot (not exactly as Tama described them but rather the ones that are on the singles) and have a few like the ones Tama described. I'd probably buy a CD of nothing but this type of music, yeah.

Depends on the songs, depends on whether or not they call it "easy listening." I don't want Kenny G. covering anime songs, anyway.

The short answer: Yes.
The main reason I buy anime soundtracks in the first place, is for this sort of thing. There's instrumental pieces that I like within some series that I want to enjoy in their clean full versions....without the edits/loops (to make them longer or shorter if needed) they do within the series or any voices over the music.
Many of the CDs I already have contain some of this kind of music you describe...slow 'easy listening' stuff.
