Apparently, Tom 2.0 impregnated Thomas the Tank Engine, and their bastard child now runs Toonami.

I miss Space Ghost villains.

At first, I thought that it was a what-if scenario of the Nazis getting their hands on CGI technology in WWII. It takes a few moments for my brain to process that amount of stupid at once.

Yes, it's true, the true toonami...the toonami of Gundam and tenchi is dead and gone, killed by the PC attitude of the upper eceleons of Time warner.

As said on youtube, Outlaw Star has now been ruined by that quote.

I have to admit, I laughed out loud at "Word." That had to be the single most idiotic response they could have inserted there.

Only one phrase can describe that clip, "Bomb Diggity."

Um, what's wrong with "word"? Now, if he had said "Word to your Mother," then we'd have a problem. ;)

Steve Blum AKA David Lucas AKA Muddy Mae Williams needs to step down. His voice doesn't fit New Tom (is guy still known as Tom); it's way too cool. You got that Stevey Boy?!! And, trust me, you DO NOT wanna lose me as a fan!! Nah...he's just way too cool to hate...

See, you people have to understand where the folks at CN are comin' from... They're tryin' to like expand their audience base. New Tom is still hip and/or hep, but with his adorable/gentle expression, he's also nonthreatening to the kiddies. Plus, he does kinda look like Thomas the Tank Engine, so the preschoolers are gonna be all over him like something that's all over something else. I mean, just think, no 4-Year-Old wants to watch a block of programming hosted by Gordon the Mean-*** Giant Train Thingy.

Yup! I see good things coming for Toonami!!

Sooooooo...a decent chunk of AS is now live-action (and awfully so, at that), and the charred remains of the once-great Toonami have become THIS?!?

CN has totally lost their minds.

I was flipping through channels and caught part of it, I thought it was that stupid Roly Poly show on the Disney channel my 3 year old niece likes.

After the ATHF Ad hoax that happened here, I'm not surprised of any dumb **** Turner pulls.

After Justice League was done with, I stopped watching Toonami. It was the only show that was worth watching.

Old school Toonami will still remain the best:

DBZ
Voltron
Ronin Warriors
Outlaw Star
Tenchi Muyo

And all the other stuff they used to show. Weekday afternoons were hella good. You started off with the Fox and WB stuff and switched to Toonami at 5 o'clock. 4 hours of nonstop goodness.

@Prons: Nope, I don't get it either.

I wasn't paying enough attention to get the Outlaw Star reference either. However, the reason i say "word" was bad is because it makes it sound like hes tryin' ta bee gangsta ( which obviously involves terrible spelling).

That's why kids today are so damn rude and f**ked up, They don't have shows like Batman and Superman The Animated Series, Animaniacs, Beast Wars, etc. to keep them in check. It's really kind of sad.

Kids 'W' 'B'e Yourself!!!

I hope I'm not the only one who totally misses this "Outlaw Star," reffrence?
I was trying to figure it out to. Can someone please explain.

Oh man, Beast Wars. I loved that show. Sunday mornings were also awesome. Iron Man, Fantastic Four, S.W.A.T. Kats, Biker Mice from Mars(which has a new series out right now in the U.K.), Two Stupid Dogs, The Incredible Hulk, and Street Sharks.

Look at that. Even SUNDAYS were worth getting up early for. Of all days.

You know, that chant thingy. Um, I don't even know how to go about spelling it, but um, the "Pahgawa" Whatever crap. I haven't seen Outlaw Star in like a billion years, but I do remember that.

Toonami was what got me into anime, Tenchi Muyo is still one of my favourite animes.

Thier lineup from 2001-2003 was pretty damn good but after that here in the UK it just turned into a dumbed down childrens chanel. Why is it that people always start something good and then go and screw it up.

Old-school Toonami was the only thing I enjoyed about my middle school years, and I still hold those memories close to my heart. Even still, CN has really been going downhill lately.

Another new Toonami, why am I not surprised?!? If you ask me, nothing Cartoon Network has been trying to do can match what they did when Toonami was at its golden age early in the decade. That Toonami which gave us anime series every weekday afternoon plus Saturday mornings was quite extraordinary. I sure miss those good old days at the time when anime was at its prime!!

FYI March 17 is Toonami's birthday. Thus, the change event.

Any, it apears that the new TOM is not a new one, but the last TOM without his helmet. Personally, I think he should of kept the helmet. The rest I can get used to.

It even makes me glad the first Tom died a horrible death.

You know, all that stuff. Seriously. Toonami has gone to crap and that's just the way it is.

Toonami was dead to me when Sailor Moon went off the air. having it come on before the Toonami block was the only reason i left the channel on there, like the familiar tactic of putting a major show in front of a newborn one to boost viewer awareness.

That's even more pathetic than the last 'update' they did :\

For great Justice, the first time the origional Tom was introduced in 2000.
