I thought he was asking about the 2 completely different cartoons called Ghostbusters. The Original Ghostbusters cartoon originated from a 60s live action tv show, where 2 guys and a gorilla would hunt Ghosts. Then there is the "Real" Ghostbusters, which as stated was based off of the hit movie.

The old 60s series came before the Movie. So the "nonreal" Ghostbusters came first in the sense that its based off of an older intellectual Property.
