I'm thinking about going this year, especially since MOVE will be there. Any other AN peeps thinking about going to the Downtown Seattle area?

Sweet. An AN meeting of Epic proportions. We should all get a hotel, and then we an all spend the night together....in the totally non-sexual way.

Sweet...I just found out I'll be in the area so I might get a room near the con.

And like I said, I know Downtown Seattle like the back of my hand. I can get us there if we are far away. I say though, line up EARLY. Like, 5am early. People are already waiting at that time.
As far as a hotel goes, I'm totally gonna try and get a hotel, if only for one day. I'm not sure how funds are.

There's a non-sexual way to spend the night in a room with several attractive young women?

Once you see me in person, you might change your mind. Mel will be with a kahoozits amount of asians, and I have college buddies who are going. I'll be room hopping much.

Please be advised that Sakura-Con does not allow hotel room policies.

Well you know I'll be sharing a room right? Is that what you mean. I'm by far from to be able to fit in a suitcase, so I'm putting in some cash for a hotel room. I'm not a total cheapskate.

What do you mean by that? I would need a hotel room if I went, since I don't even live in Seattle.

I am referring to hosting parties inside of rooms. As in, inviting a bunch of people into your hotel room who are not staying in it.

We're having a party, not a orgie. If I'm paying for a room, I'll sleep in it. I don't need someone to sneak me in.

I don't see how they could enforce that anyway. Unless they send snitches around to monitor every floor of the hotel and follow people.

From the Sakura-Con Policies:
Sakura-Con does not recognize or endorse room parties. Sakura-Con does not allow advertising of room parties in any official capacity. This includes flyers, message board threads, or email correspondence via any official Sakura-Con channels. Sakura Attendee Services will work with the hotels to keep records of actions taken by hotel security, and will revoke convention memberships from individuals removed from a convention hotel site by hotel security.
If you get caught having a room party by the hotel, you will get kicked out, and the hotel will notify Sakura-Con, who will revoke your badge. The only reason we were allowed to be in the Convention Center is because we told the hotels that we would not allow room parties.
By organizing and holding a room party (yes, this means ANY party), you are jeopardizing Sakura-Con's future.

I'll do my best to remember my camera and take lots of pictures. I'll probably post something on here on how SakuraCon went. It would be awesome if you could come GN, it would turn the SakuraCon into a HOTSEXYCon.

This just came in on our news wire from PR:
As you may be aware, Seattle is the home to Sakura-Con, an anime convention that is being held at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center this year April 6 - 8. This year FUNimation is bringing Tsubasa to Seattle.
We have a great anime debut event planned for Tsubasa on Friday night, April 6 from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in room 606 at the Washington State Convention and Trade Center. FUNimation will be screening the West Coast debut of Tsubasa episode 1, followed by the North American debut of episodes 2, 3 and 4. We will also have a panel discussion featuring the director of the series along with voice actors from the show. They will be taking questions from the fans and providing an inside look at the creation of one of this year's most sought after anime titles.
