This is my first thread lol, so I apologize for the title (no idea what to put :P) and if I...well whatever :P. The point of this is just to discuss the finer points of Raxephon, I understand this may very well be a somewhat unlively place for the time, but with some preserverence and the blatant fact that Raxephon rocks we can kindle in an interest in the show that it so rightly deserves! WHOS WITH ME!? *Norde battle cry*.

Ahem...that aside I also ask that we refrain from comparing it to Evangelion, personally Evangelion bored the hell out of me and I think Raxephon is so much better, but as similar as they may be, they are two different shows, so let us discuss Raxephon.

I guess to start lol, In one of the 2 or 3 posts here I saw someone mention the deep relationships in this show, and I whole-heartedly agree, I have not finished watching the show and HATE myself for it, I missed 3 episodes on G4 and I hate to watch an anime that I'm lost in so I waited to rerun it...G4 never did ; . ; But I'm currently trying to finish the series, I have also not seen the movie, but I whole heartedly keep this series in my top 10 favorite anime, the animation I think is superb, the deep relationship the main character developes with the many female (and male) characters are deep, filled with happiness and sorrow, not to mention depression and confusion, and I think that what the main character goes through is deeply entertaining. I did NOT watch this show for the action, Its not bad but its not what makes this show so good, It is more so than anything, the main characters battle with himself (among other things) that kept me on the edge of my seat, I will put up a link sometime if I find it of 2 VERY good AMVs that show the greatness of this show superbly. With this I will finish and hope others will add and show how great this show truly is and to anyone wondering if they should watch it I would strongly suggest you should if you enjoy deep, psychological and dark battles and inner torment, and a deep love between the main character and many of his female compatriots (and enemies) and how this drives him to the brink of insanity.

2 thumbs way up :)

OK, I hope you get to finish it. There has been hints about Anime Unleashed returning to G4, but I'm not too hopeful. Hint: Get DVDs. This is a re-watchable show if there ever was one.

Now there's an idea. :)

I don't think that is bolted-on armor. I think it's part of its body. The RahXephon is not one of these biomechanical mechas whos armor is just for show, restraint or ... armor. The only beast inside is the pilot.

When it changes into the True RahXephon at the end, it's not comming out of its shell, it's rather metamorphing into Ayato form.

It's only what I think though.

You wanna see the RahXephon nude? You pervert:P

I always thought of the RahXephon as like a golem sort of & like Vir said its part of its body and its not some creature with armor over it.

The Dolems are made from clay so I figured the Xephon would be made of clay as well, the Dolem and Xephon systems are two sides of the same coin after all. What appears as armour is an integral part of their body.

As to the OP, I enjoyed RahXephon too but something seemed lacking throughout the series, but I'm not sure what that something is.

I think the only thing I saw to be lacking was good action, most of the action was pretty dull. Other than that I loved it!

Well, I'm sure there are various naked pictures of Reika/Ixtli, if you want to cheat. But even then, the chances of finding such pics are pretty low.

But as the others said, the armor on Xephon is basically part of its body. But I do wonder what a Vermillion would look like without its armor, assuming it actually is armor.

PS: I'd be interested in seeing a Xephon-tan, much like you see various girls in Gundam armor. Would such pics even exist?

Well, for those of you who want to see the RahXephon i various stages of undress, check out the manga, where
you can see the RahXephon in a bikini and sunglasses. Heh.

I'm not sure whether or to what degree the RahXephon and Dolem are related, but they both seem to be mineral rather than animal or vegetable.

You can see that in the artbooks. It was either in the Bible, or in the RahXephon Complete Guide. It's mostly an unformed Dolem.
