I saw Bridge to Terabithia today. I have never read the book, nor have I heard of it before this week. But it was a great movie about the imagination of youth. Watching it I felt like I was thrown back to when I was younger and doing the exact same things. Made me feel like a kid again, excitebut the reality that I'm not makes it bittersweet. enjoyed it quite a bit.
What you think?

I've read the book. I meant to go see it today, but have to study for exams and buy groceries and other stuff that isn't as fun as watching a movie in theaters. Yeah, of all the books I was expected to read for K through Grade 12, Bridge to Terabithia was my second favorite, so I definitely have to see it.

God, it's been so long since I had to read that book...it wasn't bad. It was a decent story, obviously sad at times (especially the end) but hey, such is life.

Wait, are you saying there's a new movie out? Egad...

I ended up seeing it last night. Not what I was expecting, but I still enjoyed the movie.

I was QUITE recently recommended this movie, but I insist on reading the lil' novel first.^^
I thought the trailers were neat though.

I read the book long ago. From what I remember, it was pretty sad. Haven't gotten around to seeing the movie yet, but I'm curious to see if they'll change the ending.

Nope, haven't seen this film. Saw a mexican movie last Saturday titled "Moririse en Domingo" (To die on a Sunday). I'm now scared to death of dying after seeing that movie. Please give me the Darth Vader incineration treatment!!! I wouldn't want to end up in a garbage dump. ^^' A great emo movie to traumatize 6 year olds forever.

Yeah, that's because Disney has deceivingly marketed it as Chronicles of Narnia 2. The trailers are a slap in the face to the film itself. I don't know why they thought they had to trick people into seeing this movie. It's plenty good in its own right. Definitely recommended.

I bought movie tickets to go watch "Last King of Scotland" and ended up watching "Bridge to Terabithia". Don't ask, long story.

It was a good movie, I guess all of us could relate to it at some point in our lives. The ending was sad, I teared. Okay movie, not the best.

Indeed.

Anyway, I'm going to see the movie sometime over my spring break, most likely. *nods* Being a big fan of the book, I've been wondering why a movie never was made, as it's the kind of thing that could have easily been turned into one years ago.
