...Huh?
Theres just the TV series(eps 1-26) and the movie(Tagen Hensoukyoku) which is mostly like a recap with new scenes.
Interlude is a 15 minute short OVA about Quon, it came in the PS2 game.
Just watch the TV series and if you want watch the movie & OVA. I never seen the OVA though.
All you need to watch is the TV series.

I've just ordered the series, heard the movie was total crap and not worth bothering with.
Never seen either but heard it was similar to NGE so I wanted it.

Memories is recap sometimes called as episode 9.5.
The series is not so good, but it is worth watching once. The movie is even worse, though you will probably want to watch first 15-20 minutes :)

Once? For me its one of the TV series I can watch over & over. In fact the more I see it the more I like it, the first time I saw it I liked it but not by a lot then the second time I loved it.

For me too, I wasn't really into it but once I bought it I fell in love with it. Think i will watch it again this week.

I'm slowly re-watching RahXephon now (when I get the time). Itsuki in particular has many of those lines that seemed totally innocuous the first time, but which make me giggle like a schoolgirl now that I know what they actually mean.
The Holy Order of RahXehon: The knights that say "RAAAAA!"

The movie is not total crap as it explains many things not easily understandable in the series. Besides, there is the scene of Haruka and the forming of Tokyo Jupiter at the begining that's just awesome.

OK, I'll concede that last point, Roland ^_^
But when it comes to explaining stuff, it's important that the viewer understands that not all the explanations are relevant to the TV series.

True. But many are. Such as the Mu war before the stalemate.
