Loved this episode, it was as funny as the manga and just as interesting. Glad they are not swaying away from the manga at all.

Interesting.... judgeing by that goth wannable ulquiorra's mask im guessing he was one of those Top tier Meno's who are stronger then captains. (and now an Arrancar)

Could be, but I suspect that those guys are still waiting until the lesser Arrancar prove their worth and the process is perfected before they go for it.

This episode was a definite improvement over the last few episodes. The animation quality is finally at a good level, about what it was before it dropped in the filler episodes. There were a few points were something looked like it was a tad off, but it wasn't distracting or painful to look at.

Also, the methods for filling out time were also much better. We didn't see a minute of the same thing happening over and over and the scenes that almost certainly weren't in the manga (or as long) were more interesting and entertaining.

I'm surprised people complain about the animation quality so much when I've noticed it's more of a stylistic effect. The budget for the show is constant and in some cases higher for certain episodes, so all of these complaints sound like nitpicking to me. I just got done watching it and it's a good one so we'll see where it goes.

I liked this ep. also. It was exciting even though the violence wasn't that great. Ichigo isn't a sitting duck anymore.

And he didn't exactly defeat Byakuya on his own either. Put he did KO three vice-captains without even using his zanpakutou.

If you have enough time to nitpick a minor issue and blow it out of proportion, then I suggest you find another show to watch or an OAV if you care so much about quality.
