After episode 4 where Orihime's brother was converted to a hollow, both Orihime and Tatski could see the entities of the spiritworld in some shape or form. Orihime's powers were awakened by being near Ichigo while Tatski's apprarently have/can not. Do they explain why they haven't or does Tatski's abilities awaken later in the program?

no explanation, and I haven't seen any power out of tatski. I think the reason Orhime's and Chad's power awaken is because of their soul if I remember correctly. Their Powers are a reflection of their great heart.

Could have been a typo you know.

But it would be cool to see her arise some powers in the near future. Tatsuki would make a cool shinigami.

She does see the ghosts...but they don't really go further than that.

MANGA SPOILERS

Tatsuki's probably being trained by Urahara as we speak. I think it's safe to say that by the end of the Hueco Mundo arc, she'll be a full blown shinigami.

I've said it before and I'll say it again TatsUki needs to be trained specifically by yourichi and maybe soifon so she can be a shinigami like them. she doesnt need some huge zanpakatou (sp) to lug around

Well, she might be actually one who wont need a guy to save her. Well...lets hope at least.

Tatsuki? need a guy to save HER? HA!!! she can kick the sh*t out of ichigo without even trying. now put that in shinigami mode. plus with the fighting skills she ALREADY has and doesnt need to train as much as ichigo did in experience, so she would be able to learn special abilities that ichigo didnt learn. also, a while ago there was a lot of questions being thrown around about an art book that Tite did that has Tatsuki with a sword that looked like a shikai, thought he didnt comment on it. now fast foward a couple months to the current state of the manga and how the story is going.....yup.

she may not have the level of overall fighting that ichigo has, but i highly doubt she would get in a situation that would require being saved. she's not the type to back down easily without being beaten to a pulp.

she prolly would have been trained with orihime and chad back before they all went to save rukia, but if i remember correctly, her arm was broken from a martial arts tournament and would have been worthless anyway. well that and she could only barely see the hallows. i think she did put up a good enough fight though, like ichigo fighting his first hallow before taking rukia's powers.

well, thats just my theory ;-)

she took on what, 10 people? plus her braking her arm and still taking second in a national karate tournament against a gigantic girl that was way bigger than her, for her size and build, is crazy. and Urahara wouldnt have been able to train Tatsuki anyway, cause he was busy with Ichigo. she also didnt have any powers of her own besides seeing ghosts and the outline of a hollow. now that she can have one-on-one training, she'll be much more powerfull.

Honestly, I wish they would kill her off. She's my least favourite secondary series character (Even Jinta is easier to stand).

Really?...Huh.Can't please everyone I suppose.Although I can't see what exactly it is about her you can't stand, but to each his/her own.

And yet she was saved by Ichigo and Orihime on 2 separate occasions. While TatsUki is good at martial arts the old age "don't bring a knife to a gun fight" is appropriate here.

I dunno. I do like the Scoobies, but I like Tatsuki too. I would have liked to see her and Orihime in Seireitei, running around. Would have been pretty funny.

Tatsuki wasn't taken along simply that she doesn't have the spritual fighting abilities that Chad and Orihime gained, though she seems to have gotten at least the ability to know Hollows are present, and in recent episodes she can see sprits like Ichigo in his Shinigami form and an item that should not be visible to normal humans.

Ichigo's friend, whats his name, let me say it this way, out of Ichigo's group of four male friends, theres Chad, Ishida, the guy that looks like a male Rukia, and then the other guy who is like (in his eyes) Ichigos best friend, hes the one who has also been able to atleast become aware of things around him, though I could be wrong.

Asano saw a Hollow in manga chapter 198 (Anime episode 116)

As for the whole Tatsuki Shinigami Thing;

Tatsuki, Kojima & Asano just show up at Urahara's shop, thinking Tatsuki is a full blown Shinigami is one giant leap based off that. Since all we know for sure is that she can see Ichigo's spirit form. She is more likley akin to Chad & Orihime a product of Ichigo's over flowing spirit power, but for all we know she could even be a Vizard.
