No, it's actually a 6 year old Sony MVA LCD TV. It's not technically "burn-in" but rather image persistence. The power supply on it burnt out the other day so I found and ordered a new one. I just received it today and it looks great! They just don't make monitors like they used to...

Yeah, IPS monitors are finally starting to become affordable. However, they still aren't readily available and are somewhat limited in functionality and connectivity. You can't find them at most retailers and none of the new 21.5-23 inch 1080p models come with HDMI yet. LG is supposed to be coming out with one soon though. ;)

Well I use my monitor for my PC and game systems. You can't do that with an HDMI to DVI adapter without losing the sound.

The speakers on this Sony are pretty good with a built in sub but I usually use my studio monitoring headphones. But no, I eventually want to run it through a receiver but I'd still need HDMI for that.

Yeaaaaaah I've been watching too much of The Pacific lately and have like 40 paqes left of With The Old Breed. Is it weird that reading that book has made me 5 times as good at BF3? ESPECIALLY the mortars and LMG's, I started learning how to position myself properly and lead the targets with nice timed bursts. I wish there was squad VOIP so I could get a decent mortar and support gunner squad going that doesn't just get picked off. And DICE needs to make more twisted mountain maps like Peleliu or Okinawa so we can hide parallel to each other and crossfire one area while pounding the hell out of the top. <_<

My desktop with the ubuntu virtual machine on the right screen. I really don't have a real reason to run Linux natively because all it is to me is a glorified text editor that I occasionally learn commands with. I can't WAIT until I get that new drive for OS X so I can just dual boot with windows and use Linux in a VM. On top of that OS X is the perfect mix of an Audio Video OS with Unix underpinnings so I get the best of both worlds. That way I can get stuff done without relying on window's stupid internal design. It's just for games and I can't wait to ditch it for something I'm more comfortable with.
