not only that, but seeing as there was about a year of fillers, its pretty sensible for fans to be hyped. however, theyre gonna have to make extra episodes that arent fillers so the the manga can get far enough ahead.

God. The pacing is still horrendous. The animation is back on track, and the music is alright, but the pacing and timing has gone to ****.

What the hell happened to the show during fillers?

I agree that the pacing is poor. It's because they have to drag things out so they don't catch up to the manga too quickly. Based on how quickly they burned through chapters in the SS arc, they could easily catch up within about 30 episodes and have nothing to animate. I hope they can drag things out enough early on so that we don't have this issue when the storyline gets good again (because its been kind of weak, IMO).

Honestly, they should have done another filler arc or two until they knew the current manga arc was wrapping up and that catching up wouldn't be an issue.

And I don't know what you guys mean that the art is 'back on track.' It's slightly better than it was during the filler arc, but its still poor and almost painful to look at a good chunk of the time.

On a side note, Yoruichi's boobs were different sizes when she was on her eating binge. I also thought the bustier just looked wierd on her, not hot.

I haven't read that far in the manga (only the U.S. release), so I couldn't say. But I have zero doubt that it was shorter. I can't imagine Tite Kubo doing 6 pages of Yoruichi eating food. This is yet another blatant time stretcher to drag things out and this was the worst one yet.

As for keeping behind the manga, they can insert some episodes focused on Chad training against Renji. We never got to see anything in the manga.

Yeah, its a slight improvement over the filler episodes, I agree with that. It's still not what I would consider good.
