Habachi!
I'm glad Gilbert made it to starting 5. Bout time he gets some recognition, know Nash is the favorite for MVP again but I'll be pulling for Gil. Although I don't see the Wizards going very far in the post.

Gilbert AND Bosh.

The All Star game is for the fans but I really wish the fans weren't allowed to vote. Shaq's only played 7 games, is somewhat injured again and he's the starting center in the East? I mean, it wouldn't be the same without Shaq being there but him getting the starting nodd is lame. Dwight Howard should have been all over that spot with Curry maybe as a reserve. I mean, who else is there? In the West you have both Nash and Dirk not starting...? Kobe is Kobe, but T-Mac?

It's great to see Bosh getting the respect he deserves and there is no denying Gilbert this time around. He's been unbelievable this season and his team is doing well. Atlhough I don't like him and can't see the Wizards doing jack in the playoffs without playing any defense.

I agree Shaq shouldn't have made it, but I guess its sort of a right of passing. Even though it shouldn't be.

We'll be thinking the same thing when Wade/Bron and the likes are past their prime and some young gunners aren't getting voted in.

The All Star game is for the fans but I really wish the fans weren't allowed to vote.True, I mean Yao's been freakin injured just about as long as Shaq -_-; He was putting up some stellar numbers before he broke his leg but come on. Considering how well the Suns are during its absurd not see any of em on the starting 5.
How Brad Miller makes it year end and year out just boggles my mind. I'm no Kings fan by any means although I do live here and USE to enjoy watching them. These guys suck now, and Brad's one of the biggest causes.

If anything needs star power its the Slam Dunk comp, I know its been dieing a slow death for years now but damn, someone in the front office needs to force LeBron to do this every year.

^ The Slam Dunk contest needs stars for once. It's always unknowns/rookies with a rare big name every once and a while. I'd really like to see them limit the amount of tries you get for each dunk. Nate's my boy and I'd like to see him win again this year but he got way too many chances last time. His dunks were awesome (when pulled off) but it cheapens the win when you've seen so many failed attempts.

Yao's another story but atleast he was playing like a beast before he went down. Was his replacement announced yet? Oh and Brad Miller... That boggles my mind all the time.

ARRGGHHHHHH!!!

Why Kevin Garnett?!!! WHY?!!!!!!!

Other than that, I HORRIFIED, ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIED, that Nash and Dirk aren't in the starting line up.

And then, WHERE THE HELL IS SHAWN MARION?!!! If any player, he deserves to be there!

But no! They have to have KG and Kobe! ARRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!

As for the east, I don't have to many complaints. I mean, those are the better players from the East.

Who else in the league is going to give you 20 PPG 12 REB 4 AST 2 STL 1 BLK with 50% and 80% night in night out?

Dirk definitely should of made it over Duncan though. And Tmac has missed quite a few games. It should have been

WEST: Nash, Kobe, KG, Dirk, Yao
EAST: Arenas, Wade, Bron, Howard, Bosh

I never understood how the players are selected the first weeks of the season. What if I want Brian Scalabrine to play in the all star game.

Your right about the east, but Yao?! yea hes been doin "OK" this season but look at all the times he got dunked on.....by like EVERYBODY. He's just on a role just like when kobe hit 81 points. But overall Yao sucks, I dont like Shaq but he's WAY BETTER than Yao will ever be.

I would agree with you if it weren't for his stellar play ending of last season and up until he was injured this season. He's stepped up, fans and critics agree.

December's splits: 26 PPG 9 REB 90% FT 50% FG 3 BLK and 2.5 AST

And November was very similar just some fluctuations here and there. Any center who can shoot 80-90 from the line is tremendous.

Last year when Tmac was out he was getting about 30 PPG and 10 RPG.

He's not the same 18-8 softee he once was. Yeah he gets dunked on, but what shot blocker doesn't? You try blocking enough an occasional dunk is going to fall through.

I dont like Gilbert very much, too cocky and too much talk. I know hes good and all but IMO to make it in the NBA you gotta have the correct sportmanship, after all there are millions of kids watching you everyday and looking up to you as a idol. Steve Nash for mvp.

Yoa Ming is more of a mid-short range kind of guy, he rarely has any SUPER POWERFUL dunks but he has a nice hook and mid shot. Shaq is pure power, he's got a nice touch of the ball and all, but I dont think you can compare the two, YET. Shaq's been in the nba for a really long time and hes had alot of experience. Yoas just not there yet, give him a couple more years so he can learn the game more and get more feel of the NBA. But I do agree with you that Shaq is a more efficient player than Yoa, as of right now.
