View Full Version : Ever seen a UFO?

I saw one once in high school. Though it was falling, not flying. I was in a car with someone else, and we had been out on this lonely country road looking for UFOs (yes, I really did this kind of thing back then.) and when finding nothing, we got in the car and headed back to my place.
On the way, we glance in to the sky, and in the middle of the sky, suddenly a large white ball of light burns in to existence, falls swiftly, directly down, then vanishes in thin air.
So, is anything up there?
I think that the UFO's that cannot be explained by ordinary phenomenon and aircraft, are secret experimental aircraft benig tested without the publics knowledge, and the "abductions" people have reported are actually experiments BY the government on citizens for sinister ends, done by people DRESSED as aliens, and the drug induced abductees cannot tell the difference since they're so out of it. So when they report what happened to them, no one beleives them.
Its the perfect smokescreen!
People like Bob Lazar and "former" military people who have come forth to reveal the existence of "aliens" are just spreading disinformation!
So, have you ever seen a UFO? What do YOU think it was? Or do you only think it was what they WANT you to think it was? ^_~

I thought I saw one once. It was this BRIGHT red light, and then it kinda flew by, (REALLY fast) and then disappeared. I was taking out the trash at night when this happened. I doubt it was a UFO. Thought it was for a while though.

"And on the 8th day, God created Martians. And he saw that it was bad. So he left that part out."
UFO's are a hoax! Not fa rill. I thought I saw one when I was a kid. And ever notice how you only see UFO's when you're looking for them? It's your mind playing tricks on you. You want to see one so bad that you think even a blimp or airplane is a UFO. Crazy ****, man. It's all mindtricks.

I had a similiar experience once when I was out walking the dogs with my dad when I was a kid...I recall running inside scared to death.

I saw one near Puebla (Mexico). It was mostly blue with some small red lights. And it was pretty big and pretty close to the ground. Roughly about a kilometer or so from where my parents were driving.

If aliens can really take people for hundreds of years and return them at the same age as when they were abducted they can take me. As long as I'm asleep the whole time, or I end up having lot's of fun. Oh yeah, and they better not take my music from me, or they'll be finding a crashed UFO in the Atlantic.

Mathematically, the idea of our being visited is idiotic.
Just wish I had a solid explanation for the Nazca lines and a few other incongruities that refuse to be explained.
But you can bet that 99% of what is thought of as UFO's is likely total crock.
It's the remaining 1% that causes all the trouble.
Sometimes 1% can be a very large sum.

I am pretty sure I have seen one. There is this place in our area that seems to get them a lot. Me, my mom, and my brother saw it as we were driving. We pulled over and took a look at it. It had two red lights. When we stopped the car, they started to spin and it zoomed away. It still gives me the chills to think about it.
My other brother had something happen to him a long time ago that definitely had something to do with UFOs. He was driving along this deserted country road at night with two friends, and was on the way to a party. He was driving, and he looked over at his friend in the front seat to say something. Suddenly, he saw a bright flash. He figured he was the only one who saw it, but the other two were like 'WTF was that?!'. They then noticed they were on an entirely different part of the road, on the other side. The clock had also went ahead by an hour or more (can't remember). A trip that normally took 45 minutes took three hours because of this. That story really freaks me out.
The next day, there was a section in the newspaper that talked about UFO sightings in that area.

I've never seen one myself, and I don't go looking for them, but I don't doubt that they exist.
I mean, come on.
Chances are, there are going to be other lifeforms out there.
You can't expect us to be the only life in the whole universe.
Real aliens probably don't even look like how we think they do.
But what scares me is, like... are we constantly under surveillance?
I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if we were..
Sometimes, it feels like the government ARE doing all of this gibberish with abductions. Maybe aliens just stick to their own planets and astronauts got a glimpse of them?
It can go on and on.
A lot of people think UFOs are fake, but.. who really knows?

The semantics of this have always irked me. UFO's exist. That is not debatable. If you don't know what something in the sky is, it's a flying object that's unidentified.

I'm not sure what to think about UFOs. Certainly the majority of them can be explained as mis-labeled natural phenomenae, meteors, etc. But there are a small percentage that the Air Force considers unexplainable.
Whether they're secret aircraft being tested, aliens, time travelers from our future, or what I dunno, but I do suspect there's something more to them than "lol its all a hoax."

I've actually seen one once. It was nighttime so I couldn't really make out the shape. All I could see was the blinking lights. Plus the fact that it was in the same area of the sky as the moon made it hard to see. It was going pretty fast too. I wish I had more time to look at it, but I had to go back inside because my plane was about to leave.

No, because the subject isn't about what UFOs are... rather, whether or not anyone has seen one.

Not only that, but I already stated in the first post that I don't even think they're alien craft.
Yeah, this thread isn't just about alien craft. Not to say any discussion of it is discouraged.

No. Most of the OP's statement made me "lol," as the kids say.
I believe there may be something to a few major incidents like the Mexico City mass-sightings, but only as unidentified flying objects. I'm not jumping to conclusions that they're aliens or government goons dressed up as aliens who've come to earth to insert foreign objects into people's rectums.

lol I've seen some strange things in my life time, but there is nothing i've seen that resembles a giant head and tiny body, cruising around the earth in a little saucer like thing.
except in videos games. and si-fi novels and movies.

If you can see them through a Microscope, Telescope, any instroment that alows you to visually see them with the human eye is considered a variable of reality.
is there a posability of there existance, maybe. but these are just theories baced on people's expeireinces.

I remember seeing a red light and thinking it was from a plane & then the light split into two pieces & flew away from each other. That was odd but I diddn't really care, could have been some kind of flare I have no idea. I don't believe in aliens visiting us at all.

I've seen some weird stuff in my lifetime, but no UFO's.. at least yet.
Once I was randomly taking down the dried laundry back inside and I randomly saw the sky. It was an unusually clear night (considering that Mexico City is an awful city to have any interest in astronomy since the sky is infested with pink clouds at night during most of the year). I was kinda surprised I could see quite a lot of stars and saw a white dot move uber fast. I thought it was a UFO at first. Then someone told me that was just a shooting star. Since I never saw one before, I couldn't tell the difference.
My best friend once saw a ton of UFO's outside of his back garden in the middle of the night many years ago. A lot of the local neighbors saw a bunch of strange lights bouncing up in down the sky in that area of multiple colors and then they all dissapeared. Oh, and his house is haunted BTW. I've seen some strange stuff go on in that place.
I doubt my neighborhood will ever get to see UFO's. Lot of population in my area. LOTS of traffic and therefore a lot of witnesses.

You're not aware that Mexico City is one of the hotspots for UFO activity, in all the world?

Well, my town area has a population of over 900,000 in about 80 square miles. One of the most populated municipalities in the entire country. And yet I don't see UFO sightings posted at newspapers everyday. More like people complaining about the holes in the street, speed bumps placed in illogical places (god, if I could get a peso everytime a new speed bump is placed in an illogical place...) and overgrown trees that need to be chopped down. We get the weekly dosage of people complaining about dirty cops too.
Either I'm too dumbass or I'm one of the few people that isn't drunk most of the time when these "sightings" appear.
Maybe the UFO's are seen in less populated areas of the south like Xochimilco or in the Northeast like Texcoco. My neighborhood also has the not UFO privacy of being in a sort of small slump downwards in the valley. My street is of the few around that isn't above a 45° angle. Or is it? My house isn't in the more quiet and foresty areas in the hills where a UFO could pop up without causing so much attention like my friend's house is.

From my blog (http://kiyone.blogspot.com/2004_09_05_archive.html#1094577596798826 96), originally written in 2004.
The oddest experience of my entire childhood occurred at some point within a few days one way or the other of March 21st, 1981. It was night, and I had been put to bed but was awake, drinking a glass of water, when I felt compelled somehow to look up at the sky. I saw a bright light high up in the sky, and it split in two, and one half of the "star" started to descend, becoming larger and larger until I could see that it was... well, a flying saucer. There were about two or three concentric rings of lights on the bottom, and it slowed down for the last few metres before touching down on Alton Drive between my bedroom window and the Club West Island health/tennis club, next to the T-junction with Amherst. It wasn It wasn't a large craft, maybe about 15 feet in diameter at most (it was narrow enough to land on the street) and 7 or 8 feet tall (the top was well below the sightline of my bedroom window on the second floor of the townhouse, though the lawn slopes slightly, maybe a couple of feet), though the to of the craft, which was a very cliché silver disk, had a blinking red dome, which I remember reflecting off the back of the stop sign on Amherst and the health club. Why was I the only one to see it? Possibly they were manipulating time so that whatever they were doing would be in a fraction of a second to most people on Earth, except for myself, who they chose to observe. Or they could manipulate everyone except me to look away and not drive there at that exact moment. Anyway, I'm not going to embellish the story... I didn't see any little green men, and my memory stops a few seconds after the craft was fully on the ground. Was it just an intense dream inspired by television or movies? Possibly, but it is worth noting that I hadn't seen either Star Wars or Close Encounters of the Third Kind at that point. Anyway, I actually kind of like that the truth of whether or not this was real is very ambiguous in my mind. That was one of my biggest specific problems with Spirited Away, that, when Chihiro got back to the car with her parents, you saw it covered with branches and dirt, like the car had been there for a long time, meaning what happened to Chihiro actually did happen and wasn't ambiguous, when it should have been left ambiguous, like in My Neighbour Totoro or like my own fantastic experience. (By the way, if it was real, I'm one of those people who believe that the so-called extraterrestrials are, in fact, humans from Earth, just they're from tens of thousands of years in the future and they're studying their ancestors.)
As an adult, I haven't had anything nearly that spectacular, but, this one spring day in 1997, my parents and I drove out to a lonely road on the outskirts of Hudson, Quebec to see the comet Hyakutake in as dark an environment as could be found in the Montreal area, and there was this one quite bright light to the north of us, over central Hudson or the Ottawa river, that was moving around and hovering, almost like a helicopter could except I couldn't hear a damn thing.

I have seen and do believe in ghost though. My most frequent visit from above was in my room 3 days ago.

Just on a side note, there is life on other planets. Granted, the bacteria they found frozen on Mars was essentially not really "alive" in the sense you're talking, but hey, life is life.
As for seeing magical alien spacecraft, I only once saw anything bizarre, and that was just a single blinking red light, hovering in the sky for about ten minutes. I got out a telescope (well, technically I got somebody else to do it, cause I'm a sci-fi guy and I wanted to keep my eye on it) and, well, it was gone when the telescope was brought out. Curious. Not sure if it mattered, but there was also a harvest moon.
EDIT: Huh, I take back what I said about the bacteria. Looks like they misjudged it.
