...ok. here's the deal, Sir Noob. people around these here forums have been watching Bleach even before it was cool or acquired by adult swim/ CN. most of us usually just watch fansubs, or raws. but a huge number of new people just getting in to anime usually just go for the Adult Swin version.

getting manga? sure. why not. every little bit helps. oh, and welcome to AN.

I watch all my anime on my computer. Purchased retail or whatever.

I actually have just gotten used to being stuck using my computer/hobby room and letting the family dominate the tv.

I never watch televised anime though. Then again, I never watch anything I like "televised". I prefer to watch my shows when I feel like it.

Ain't the internet grand :) Just saw two new eps of Stargate SG1. God only knows when it will show up in North America, but I couldn't care less.

Since you seem to not know the biz... here's a few pointers.

1. Bleach in Japan is currently up to episode 111.
2. As the episodes come out (in Japan), various groups fansub them.
3. Fansubbing is exactly what it sounds like, people add english subtitles to the japanese anime for watching here in the States (or wherever you are...)
4. Finding these fansubs is easy. However, since Animenation sells Anime, and fansubs are by and large free... we are not at liberty on these forums to tell you where to find them.
5. Good luck.

There's the aforementioned fansub groups that were mentioned and there is the SITE THAT SHALL NOT BE NAMED where I've seen episodes of Bleach.

For the most part, I"ve been watching AS's run every Saturday.

~sir noob?

You know, I didn't know what "noob" meant until just a month or two ago.

As to the topic: I watch Bleach on my computer and sometimes on the TV, by means of Adult Swim or when I burn episodes on to DVD.

I've just been reading scanlations of the latest chapters of the manga as of late. I have seen up to episode 66 of the anime, but gave up after it was licensed. Now I wait for a possible boxset to come out.

I know, I really could care less. I'm not a DVD buyer...when I don't have the money I mean.

I hate sounding clueless, but what are you referring to with R1 and R2?

I have both Onegai Teacher and Onegai Twins on dvd. And it sure was nice to get. Got a buddy totally hooked on it as well.

Region 1 encoding is for DVD's in North America (excluding Mexico)
Region 2 encoding is used on UK and Japanese DVD's

I watched it on adult swim when it first started. Now I just watch it on DVDs I buy and I burn the Fansubs to a DVD and watch it that way to.

If you want to get ahead of what's being aired on Adult Swim then just go read the manga or you can do fansubs if you are willing to download all of it.

I get all my anime from Naruto Central.com :) For just £2.45 a month you get unlimited downloads for over 100 series :naughty: Bleach, Naruto, Blood, Full FMA, Onegai Teacher Twins, Full Metal Panic...etc etc. Even the films are on there!! :P Can't go wrong really.

Thats horrid, it makes me sick that people would pay to download files when you can get them for free. You've been scammed.

How do you know there will be box sets? Viz isn't known for box set releases. If they do release box sets it will be a very long time.

As I said, I don't mind to wait for them release boxset. If not, then I have to buy singles.
