My mother has asked me to find her a free typing trainer program, so far i haven't found anything worth suggesting (for free anyways) so i was wondering if anyone here knew of any, help would be greatly appreciated since she is highly bothersome and getting on my nerves.

I suggest a Mavis Beacon program. I used that back in the day, over 10 years ago. It's not free, but ... who says you have to buy it?

how about this?

If your mom already knows how to type, and just wants to increase her speed, I'd recommend the typing games on Yahoo! games, like Typershark.

If she wants to learn, I'd second the recommendation for mavis beacon. It's not free, but it is dirt-cheap ($10 for the more recent versions, I think).

Mavis Beacon is black, so she KNOWS about typing. Its like 10 bucks, might as well go ahead and up the money for a program from Staples or something.

Yeah, Typershark would work if she only wants to get faster.
If she actually wants to learn the Home Keys and all of that, there's Type To Learn.
It's not free, but it works.

QFT. I wish they had made her more intimidating though.

Not really answering the question but, does anyone remember those Mario teaches Typing games. I remember they had them for Mac, as we used that in elementary school to learn to type. People thought I was so cool since I was able to beat it.
