Will they make more or is it over?

IMOP, the ED never grew up.

He never accepted what he had and was always looking for something.

Thanks.

I think it is it now. Of course they have the OVAs but yeah the series itself is pretty much done.

I heard that the director stated in an interview that there will be no more sequels...:crybaby:

There is a four-minute OAV that takes place 82 years (yes, you read that right) after the movie, but the only question it answers is whether or not Edward and Alphonse ever return to Amestris. There's no action, although it's super-cute, IMHO. This OAV isn't available domestically, however; FUNi never licensed it, for some reason.

So, to answer your question, yes, with regards to the anime, the movie is it. There is no more.

All done, isnt it sad. It didnt last as long as Naruto and Inuyasha. Canadians will cry.

-_-; Rumiko Takahashi is one of those artists who can make her series seemingly last forever (and when the manga seems to last forever, so does its anime adaptation, usually), putting her in a separate class. And Naruto has been plagued by fillers for the past 100-some-odd episodes, although it's not like that manga is short, either. I don't know if you can compare those two to Fullmetal Alchemist.

I compared them in terms of fanbase.

Had it lasted any longer than 51 episodes and the movie I think it would get really annoying. I totally love FMA, but had it dragged on and on like InuYasha then I may have lost interest. Even with a few questions left up in the air the series itself was great and the movie was the icing on the cake for the series.

I saw that a while ago. It was crazy.

I just watched the movie last night and I thought it was the perfect end to the series. Of course, I wouldn't have minded more...but I agree that if the show had been any longer it wouldn't have been as good! I loved this series though and I'm sad it's over! :(

I actually thought the movie was kind of blah compared to the rest of the series. It lacked energy, and it felt like they just wanted it over to move on. I also thought the too-happy 'see, the brothers are together and normal, so we did our job' ending was lame and contrived. I feel it needed a few more episodes to resolve cleanly. Nothing like InuYasha, though.

I'm following that thread...I just may have to. I was also told fanart was a good way to express yourself in this instance. <g>

Or better yet, read the manga. Its the genuine article, not some crappy plothole filled story made by an animation studio rather than the creator.

Sadly I think it is the end.
